Hello to the same old players. It's been a few months since I've checked to see what is happening around here.

Not much new to shout about, huh?

Same stuff. Criticize the leaders. Money issues. Book of Mormon historicity. Purported organizational missteps. Accusations of dishonesty and evil doing. Dissing Christianity as a whole. Oh yeah, Dr. Peterson too.

Etc.

If you folks were to be paid for your work here it would be a fairly healthy second income.

And you wouldn't have to pay tithing!

Step outside and breathe. Hug a child. Serve a neighbor. Take a drive. Read a good book. Have a real life conversation. Get off the dang keyboard!

I was going to hop in and add my two cents on a thread or two, but then I thought...why? I'd like to see something new or interesting to comment on but, alas, that doesn't seem to be a possibility. Why join in on a thread if it's just a rehash of a rehash?

If I see something that sparks my interest...maybe.

Hello MG2.0! I seldom visit the Terrestrial forum to browse through threads, but as I began reading some this morning, I found it unsurprising that Canpakes, the moderator, is exhibiting a similar bias in his moderating duties here as he does in the Spirit Paradise forum. In the 7 or 8 instances where Canpakes has used red ink as a moderator in the 4 to 5 threads I've read so far, all remarks have been directed at you. There have been no comments from Canpakes towards any of his friends, despite several, like Marcus, being off topic in multiple threads.

Additionally, Marcus has been complaining in various threads and hurling personal insults, yet Canpakes does nothing to encourage Marcus to cease this behavior, allowing her to say whatever she wants.

I wanted to offer you some encouragement and let you know that I appreciate your post. No matter how much Marcus and Canpakes plot through private messages, don’t let them frustrate you. Their aim is to push you off the board. It is widely acknowledged, yet few are prepared to voice it.

I'm not sure about the reason, IHQ - it seems to be (almost) every comment now, so I suspect that MG is poking Dr Shades in the eye with this practice. I expect that in his mind it's justified - I could be wrong, but ...

I agree. He's poking Shades in the eye with this method, and he's also gone back to disrupting a thread with lengthy and useless posts talking about A.I. and how it can't be used as a tool (he's absolutely wrong, of course). He's not honest, and he's just here to troll and disrupt.

Ah, back to grindael. I didn't "hound him" until his dying say. For one thing, I didn't even know he was dying. When he died I expressed my condolences along with everyone else.

And second. The truth is, it was give and take. We were pushing against each other quite often. That is true. That you would still be carrying a grudge (excuse?) to act as you do is interesting...and rather juvenile.

Mg is misrepresenting history, as usual. Here's a post with some actual details:

...mentalgymnast, in the course of ONE evening, followed grindael onto seven or eight threads where grindael was announcing his new research and his upcoming presentation at the Whitmer Conference, and then trashed each thread with the basest of harassment. Here are a few of his actual comments about grindael's research:

"You're a loser, grindael. " and

"by the way, loser, we are already well aware that you don't believe in the Divine calling of Joseph Smith...so what's your point in preaching to the choir? You already know you're gonna just get high fives. So what's your point? Much ado about nothing, isn't it? " and

"Don't take the fact that I called him a 'loser' get in the way. Just calling it like it is. (Loser: a person or thing that loses or has lost something and/or is doomed to fail or disappoint)"

This is just the briefest description of his trolling, and yes, he's been reported.

That's just one night's trolling. Mg did indeed 'hound' him mercilessly.
