Yes, the podcasts are oddly short. I’m not even sure that the full podcasts have been posted in every case. One posted podcast I opened seems to be about 12 minutes in length.
This is probably the biggest tell.

If the podcasters defied the Afore on their podcast and said the LGT is garbage, then it would be understandable that the Afore publicly chastise them. That wasn't the case here. I recommend the Afore re-read Section 42 of the Doctrine and Covenants.
I cannot help but wonder if some of this is stemming from the Afore’s cinematic ambitions. He has hung a lot of hopes of redeeming himself on the idea that the films he’s involved in are “good” somehow. So for Tanner to show up on YouTube in embarrassing fashion is perhaps unacceptable? But then we have the Rasmussen videos, which are about 10,000 times worse in terms of creepiness and repulsiveness, so who knows?

Folks, you can't make this stuff up. The Afore is now claiming that he makes no money from apologetics. It's time to fact check the Afore.

Except for the money he makes from Patheos and except for the money he made from his DeseretNews column and except for the editorship money he made from the Maxwell Institute and the amount of his free travel compensation for last 4 decades (one commenter conservatively estimated his "free" travel amounted to being compensated to the tune of several hundred thousand dollars).

Other than the above, the Afore makes no money from mopologetics.

It seems to me that the Interpreter probably tries to do too many different things. They have the blog and the movies, the books, and on top of that radio shows and podcasts? Maybe it’s not possible to do all that and do it all well? I wish them all the best. I say, stick to the blogs, books, and films. Leave the radio/video talking head productions to others.

Since they view their role as fighting for the LDS church, I think they feel the need to fight in every arena.

I don’t know of any other academic journal who would put the word “enemies” into their mission statement.

And except for the free family vacations he and his wife get when her way is paid along with his. It's ridiculous he insists he is not compensated for these activities. Is he arguing that preaching to the choir is not technically apologetic work? How does he think the 'choir' stays complacent?

Yes, I forgot about his free family vacations.

The Afore’s dishonesty and complete lack of integrity defies explanation.

If his Patheos blog is monetised then he’s paid for apologetics.
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

Do you find an allegory in Kim Jong Il's cinema ambition?
