I can be glad to know there is a positive arc in his life. Big final concert for charities, that is a positive memory. I saw his family show a few times and am glad for the positive family relations. I do not know his personal history perhaps I should check.

Since about 1970 he has held the honor of making my least favorite music. I could say most disliked, more than iron butterfly in agagme again. It is not that I dislike harsh sounds. I am Stones fan, listened to a lot of Hendrix. Voodoo child is probably engraved on my brain somewhere. On the other hand the song Iron Man I find revolting. I do find myself thinking there is some artistic and expressive creation necessary to achieve negative supremacy.

If you're interested in people and their stories like I am, definitely check on that. I watched his show and it always seemed to me that the family banter was usually an expression of love. His personal history is very impressive to someone like me who admires more than anything else how people strive and overcome what should have destroyed them. Boy George the same thing and many others. That's what I look for most of all. The obstacle, the striving, and hopefully...the rising up of a human.

I have Iron's album with Inagadadavida right in my basement, huck! The drum solo in that is unforgettable. Also have albums by Hendrix, Steppenwolf, and of course a pretty decent collection of Stones and others. All vinyl LP's.

I really should dig those out, hook up the Quad, and give them a spin!

RIP, Ozzy. Personally, I was partial to “War Pigs” and “Mr. Crowley,” but there were a lot of good ones.

Final concert short.

LOOK how responsive his fans are to him. The connection is so tight. The reciprocity and engagement is phenomenal. They don't take their eyes off each other. LOOK at the sheer JOY on his face. That is love.

And note what you don't see. A sea of cell phones in the air. Same thing with the Stones. As soon as the announcer says "Ladies and Gentlemen, The Rolling Stones" and Keith plays the first chord 60K in the stadium are instantly on their feet.

I'm very sorry to know that Ozzy and Black Sabbath's fans have lost their musical icon. I do admire the man in my own way and I'm happy to know that he got to give that last concert as was his literal dying wish.
