This is sad to learn about. Fortunately I took a trip to meet him and visit his museum:Res Ipsa wrote: ↑Thu Jul 24, 2025 10:41 pmSad news. I called the museum’s number, and it was disconnected. A little googling led me to his obituary from earlier this year. https://www.gilliesmortuary.com/obituaries/james-muir
I’m sorry I didn’t get the chance to meet him.

You guys. If you didn't watch the video below Jim's obit, you really should do that.

Good to see you, RI.

Add my name to the list of those glad to see you post again. I missed you!

Re: Greetings!
I am sorry that I missed this post on the day you visited, RI. I have missed your presence here, and I will miss Nightlion. I wish we had all been able to meet up in "Zion" and visit the museum.
DrStak was fortunate to have been able to visit, as was I. Sockpuppet and I visited James' museum some years ago as part of a Kishapalooza gathering. We all dined together at the Red Iguana, If I recall correctly. Things got a little tense because Nightlion unironically and passionately believed in his prophetic calling, while the majority of the group was only too happy to be free of Mormonism and theism as well. Nevertheless, everyone was a grownup, and we all parted on good terms.
Reading Nightlion's obituary helps me appreciate him all the more. We only experienced a very narrow aspect of this fascinating person's life, something a visit to his museum would confirm. Nightlion shared his music with us when we visited. You could tell he was a person of many talents, but clearly there was still much to see that we would never witness personally.
Thanks for dropping by, RI. I hope we see more of you, but I will take what I can get.

Aw man. That is sad news.

Sorry to hear about Nightlion. I didn't have that much interaction with him but he certainly was resolute about his opinions.
