I don't know where to post this...CHILD political commentary

Post by Jersey Girl »

Maybe this thread could be about child commentary on the current state of affairs in the US? This is a youtube short posted by Luke Beasley. If I find any more I'll post them here.

Watch this 9 year old stand and deliver NY town hall with State Attorney General!

Even if you're right about that (which is far from given), that does not diminish the reality of those admirably articulate youngster's accusations in the slightest.
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

And?

You'd have been more impressed if he were less prepared?
Religion is for people whose existential fear is greater than their common sense. It's also the favored cover for hypocrites.

The god idea is popular with desperate people.

No, it just sounds like a group of adults put him up to it.

Unfortunately Trump does not want to cut social security. And fortunately he doesn't want to cut veterans benefits. Let's see how well this boy likes paying 60 cents on the dollar in taxes for his entire adult life to pay the Chinese interest on the $38 trillion national debt. But something tells me he'll need government benefits to survive before he reaches 40 years old just like his ancestors, so I doubt he'll change his opinion as long as he's not the one who has to pay for it.
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

Translation from ajaxese: He’s paying for it, and not paying for it.

Other than the thousands of VA employment cuts that he illegally attempted, and the attempted $2 billion in cuts for veteran benefits that was only put on pause because even the most ardent MAGA cultists knew the god-emperor was going to sink their ability to keep the grift going.

But yeah, other than drastically reducing the people who provide benefits, and the money used to provide benefits, he totally doesn't want to cut benefits.

It honestly boggles my mind how you support Trump.

Not only has he managed to pass a budget that balloons the deficit more than any other President in history (other than himself), but he's also tanked the dollar, increased bond prices, and downgraded the US's credit rating. It'll be super fun trying to borrow money to pay for his socialist deficit spending now.

I support the principle of taking care of our veterans with legitimate disabilities due to their service in cases where they can't find any job in the economy. But like any socialist program, the VA clearly needs reform. It pains me to admit this but I saw some very lazy, entitled and willfully useless veterans during my time at the VA. In private practice, veterans are some of the best people I meet. Most of them would never even consider going to the VA to see a doctor.

In any event, I bet this young and perfectly capable liberal prodigy is on some kind of public assistance before he turns 40, maybe even before 30. That's why he sees the Trump tax cuts as such a threat to his family's way of life.
It honestly boggles my mind how you support Trump.
He doesn't have much competition. And like everyone else, I understand that the only ideal president who you agree with 100% of the time would be yourself. What Trump has done with the border alone is enough to guarantee my loyalty for life. And what about all the naysayers who believed that a closed border would tank the US economy? Or those that claimed the president wouldn't have the authority to close the border? You could even include me in those mistaken about the tariffs. But it was always clear to me that even when I didn't agree with President Trump, I knew he always had his supporters' best interest in his heart. And it turns out so far that I was wrong, and that Trump has improved the situation for American workers thanks to his use of tariffs to leverage a better deal for the American people. And if the tariffs fail, I have no doubt that President Trump will pivot and do what's best for his supporters. For people whose way of life is welfare? They should be worried. They very well could end up having to do an honest day's work which I know they fear more than anything. But ultimately it will be good for them as well.

I support the principle of …
To be blunt, you support a fellow with no principles or moral grounding, who views his position as an opportunity to enrich himself while dramatically increasing the financial debt that your children will ultimately be responsible for.

But he’s locking up and deporting illegals who were working and abiding by the citizenship application process, and I know that tickles MAGA’s fancy, for reasons that they avoid discussing.

Seems like a questionable bargain, but that’s just my opinion.
