It’s hard to see how Tarik won’t fall foul of this at some point. From my perspective, I don’t understand how Tarik can, in all good conscience, truly believe in two, conflicting theologies. He’s trying to run with the hate and the hounds. I feel that damages his credibility.

Yeah, that *and* in "formally joins another church and advocates its teachings" is going to be a bit of a minefield as far as staying in the good graces of the Corporation goes.

Especially if he's openly talking about it. It will be interesting to see what happens. On a side note, I didn't know about the catholic Mormon who dabbled in the occult. That would be quite the story to read, if they've told it anywhere!

I'm not sure if he ever told his full story at once. I think it just come out organically over the course of a few years. I believe his username was Tsuzuki (or something similar). If I am remembering correctly, his girlfriend was Catholic, which was what brought him to go through the RCIA. Really interesting young guy. He taught me how to make my own sigils.

He had a really fascinating way of harmonizing all of the various beliefs/practices he was drawn too, which also made him view Mormon doctrine in some pretty unique ways. The orthodox crew (like Smac) certainly weren't overly fond of him.

Thank you- I'll have to watch for him. (On another note-you mentioned Smac. I don't think he's posted since March. Unusual for him.)

If he is ordained as a Maronite priest, that may be the tipping point. He seems to be on the road toward ordination. Recently he opined that women should veil in church, adding that if “I’m ever a parish priest it will be mandatory. Veil or leave. Those would be the options.”
