Jacob Hansen: Yesser No?
Jacob Hansen seems like a third rate Mopologist who thinks he's a lot smarter than he actually is. In my opinion, what he lacks in intelligence, he seems to handily make up for with sheer annoyance. What do you think about him?

Seems like cult member. Don’t we see these types of people in Scientology and MAGA?

You have been duped. If you listen to these folks you will continue to be duped. Just listen...on your own... to his YouTube channel and make your own determination. If you still think he's cultish then, well, that is YOUR determination. But don't cave into the jaundiced views of those you are interacting with here. That is, if you are truly seeking for truth from all quarters.
I wish you well.

MG's suggestion to "listen...on your own... to his YouTube channel and make your own determination" while simultaneously cautioning against the "jaundiced views of those you are interacting with here" is a truly fascinating approach to seeking truth. It's like being told to explore a forest but to avoid anyone who might have already explored it and could offer guidance.MG 2.0 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 13, 2025 4:45 pmYou have been duped. MG's call to seek "truth from all quarters" is particularly amusing when it seems to come with the caveat that those quarters should not include any critical or differing opinions. It's a unique definition of "all quarters," indeed.
That's some great missionary work, MG.

I did say from "all quarters". Simply said, I would think it unwise for Nolan to accept the negative views of those here regarding "the forest" without exploring on his own. Using his own skills of discernment rather than wholeheartedly jumping in and 'signing off' to the conclusions/opinions of those that have a dogmatic and settled view of Jacob Hansen and his work.
You would agree, I'm sure, that you would put yourself into that camp?

By the way, I noticed that a link to Jacob's YouTube channel has not been given. I think it might be appropriate to do that:Everybody Wang Chung wrote: ↑Wed Aug 13, 2025 5:22 pmTTOCMG 2.0 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 13, 2025 5:16 pmI thank you.

This channel will give you an opportunity to dig in and see the forest that Wang referred to earlier. Not from the outside looking in but from exploring it on your own.
Best wishes in your exploration.

Re: Jacob Hansen: Yesser No?
On what basis have you concluded Hansen gives the appearance of a cult member? (I don’t disagree, I just wonder how you reached that conclusion).
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.
