Ah, but the question you haven't asked yourself is this: 'why would a non-gang banger be showing off the photoshopped tattoos on his fingers?' Checkmate, pinkos.Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 4:06 pmWould you mind pointing me to this gang banger? He’s not the one with the photoshopped tattoos on his fingers, is he?

I'm sure that when the Chief of the Criminal Division at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Tennessee resigned, because when he looked at the evidence and determined prosecuting Garcia was a baseless political stunt by the Trump admin, it was just because he didn't have access to the correct memes... er, evidence.Bret Ripley wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 4:37 pmPut another way, 'look at the way some on the left went all in on calling out an administration that denied a person their constitutional rights, defied court orders, and then lied about it in their court filings'?Black Moclips wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 3:44 pmI mean look at the way some on the left went all in on the El Salvadorean non citizen criminal MS13 gang banger?
By the way: he wasn't a criminal. He had no criminal record. Being in the US 'illegally' is a civil infraction, not a criminal offence. Even if there is good reason to believe he was an MS13 gang banger (and, frankly, there isn't) he still has the right to due process. If he doesn't have that right, neither do you or I.
It's pretty impressive that the Trump admin has all of the evidence of this human trafficking ring, that spanned almost a full decade, and involved the transport of thousands of people, and yet there's only a single person they've been able to identify as being involved. It was also just a small oversight that this trafficking operation he's being charged with just happened to not be included in any of the documents that were the reason for him being transported to a foreign torture prison.

People expect that the Administration will use favorable media sources to support their agenda. Willfully complying with repeating that disinformation - as opposed to being willing to size up the Constitutional problems with the Administration’s approach - is detrimental to our civil rights. The point about how this should be expected to happen is valid, but why play into it?

Garcia even made immigration court appearances during the previous Trump Administration’s time. Why didn’t his DoJ kick out such a dangerous and known criminal at that time?Doctor Steuss wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 4:49 pmI'm sure that when the Chief of the Criminal Division at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Tennessee resigned, because when he looked at the evidence and determined prosecuting Garcia was a baseless political stunt by the Trump admin, it was just because he didn't have access to the correct memes... er, evidence.

I would not call Kamala Harris close to the center; however, maybe she was and merely suffered from a severe inability to articulate her positions intelligently. We will never know lol. Again, have an actual primary rather than an anointing.Molok wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 4:28 pmYour advice is to do exactly what they did in 2024, lol. I'm more of a conservative/libertarian mix these days, so I really have nothing in common with the left/progressives/democrats. But from my perspective, going forward the left needs to be as close to the center as possible (where most reasonable people are) and stop with all the crazy fringe, ridiculous issues.

Of course you wouldn't call Harris close to center, that is because you have no idea what the center looks like. But, cozying up to never Trump republicans and refusing to address the #1 concern of the progressive part of the party is about as close to center as it gets. So, you're wrong.Black Moclips wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 5:50 pm

You all just can't help yourselves with Garcia lol. The satisfaction you get from defending him must be quite fulfilling. And while this kind of nonsense gives you the social justice warm fuzzies, it only costs you the reasonable center left folks (the main bulk of your party). But hey, keep at it.
If I had to pick a candidate on the left, I'd go with Bill Maher. One because he isn't a career politician, and two, he is probably now the left's most reasonable voice (never thought I'd say that lol). He at least recognizes all the crazy dumb things the left does to feel good about themselves that sink their chances of winning and calls it out regularly.

Just to be clear, when you say this you're essentially saying you don't give a damn about due process or the rule of law. Is that the message you are intending to send?Black Moclips wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 6:03 pmYou all just can't help yourselves with Garcia lol. Harris was devoid of so many things, its reasonable to believe almost anything about her. But I'm curious as to the #1 concern of the progressive party. You actually know what it is? I think some people in this forum (and the world in general) is dying to know what that is.Molok wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 6:01 pmOf course you wouldn't call Harris close to center, that is because you have no idea what the center looks like. Lol, you would like to think I am saying that, but you are wrong. All I am saying is that by wasting time and effort on a non citizen immigrant with a dubious history (regardless of the actual facts) makes your party look crazy and only concerned about the fringe, which alienates a lot of people in the middle. Pick someone else to go all in on.Molok wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 6:07 pmJust to be clear, when you say this you're essentially saying you don't give a damn about due process or the rule of law.
