Re: Comparing MAGA to animals
The video had absolutely nothing to do with Nazis. If it DID have anything to do with Nazis likening people to animals, the animals would have come out on top in this case. Do you think I'm asserting that Trump is lesser than the animals?Hound of Heaven wrote: ↑Sun Aug 24, 2025 1:24 pmTo begin with, for those of us who maintain our sanity in this discussion board, which seems to be a rarity, let us reflect on some of the most malevolent regimes in history. It is crucial to recall how they often dehumanized those they targeted by likening them to animals. The Nazis viewed their victims as subhuman.

Nope. Try again. The title is a reference to behaviors.Having explored the history of comparing humans to animals, let's examine the title of this thread by Jersey Girl. As I mentioned, the Nazis frequently likened Jews to animals, which served to dehumanize them and made it easier for those who perpetrated the killings to justify their actions. The Nazis regarded Jews as subhuman due to their deep-seated hatred for them and other groups. This animosity escalated within their twisted ideology to a point where they could not reconcile their hatred, which ultimately consumed their beliefs. What Jersey Girl has done in this thread is truly more egregious than the comparisons made by the Nazis when they likened the Jews to animals. She has taken it a step further and is attempting to define MAGA as worse than animals, insinuating that animals actually have more compassion than MAGA. It seems that Jersey Girl perceives MAGA as being not only beneath humanity but also below the level of animals. She views MAGA as sub animal!

You finally got something right and it's true. She references videos that highlight the compassion of animals to argue that they exhibit more compassion than MAGA supporters.
I'm German. However, she may not recognize, or perhaps she does, that the Nazis dehumanized Jews by comparing them to rats, monkeys, snakes, lice, cockroaches, wolves, foxes, vultures, and other animals, all to strip away empathy and foster disgust and fear towards them. The Nazis likened the Jews to animals to incite violence against them, leading to the horrific violence that occurred over a decade of dehumanization.
Again the thread had to do with a lack of empathy as displayed by the current administration's policies that inflict harm and death on other humans in contrast to how animals instinctively respond.

Did you notice how your post is an essay or report about you (elevating yourself) and about your perceived adversaries (reducing them) here on MDB? I see no evidence at all that you bothered to watch the video short. There is no doubt for more than six months, I have been trying to demonstrate how progressive ideology reflects the psychological cruelty of the Nazis, utilizing fear and hatred to persuade progressives that anyone who does not think and act like them should be viewed as an enemy. This thread exemplifies how progressivism perceives conservatives and MAGA supporters as less than human, allowing for a sense of justification in their disdain.
5 monopoly bucks says you don't engage.
Again with the ad hom directed at two posters here. Two posters with whom you likely disagree. Nice attempt at writing a manifesto. Is it at all possible for you to directly engage another human? I see you talking around them, at them, I don't see you engage in discussion. It seems that Trump has profoundly disrupted progressive ideology, leading individuals like Jersey Girl and Bishop Schmo to regard MAGA supporters as subanimal.
I agree that the policies of the current adminstration are disgusting. You have no blessed idea what my "beliefs" are and I doubt that you have the intellectual curiosity to bother yourself to find out. It's disgusting, it will not stop, and many more of the progressive cult members will chime in to support Jersey Girl's beliefs, demonstrating that Trump has truly broken the progressive cult, sending their Marxist ideology into a total tailspin.
In closing, if you had any insight at all, made yourself familiar with the posters on this board or had any at all intention to engage you'd know something about me, my background, and why I posted the OP.
But you don't. So you don't. And...you don't.
I've changed my mind about reading your other posts that you made in rapid succession on this thread, Hound. All too often when I read your posts what I see is ad hom, labeling people you don't know and don't want to know because you shy away from engaging them in discussion. Quite the contrary is the case, you attempt to thwart meaningful discussion. You can take that observation, endorse it, and cash it at the behavioral sciences bank and know that I'm good for it.
5 monopoly bucks says you don't engage. You simply fail to engage. You're not here to engage.
Thank you again for your advice on that other thread of mine. You raised appropriate issues and offered good practical advice and I do appreciate that. I doubt that I'll interact with you again.
Enjoy your time here and hey, when you're ready to take the troll hat off, you might be surprised at what is here for you. To be honest, a good provocateur develops better cover than you do. Who knows. Maybe if you keep at it you'll get good at it.
I don't buy it for a single second.
Oh and just FY, the hook was intentional. It's always intentional. It had nothing whatsoever to do with you, Hound, so you needn't go zero to overkill on it like you have. Gad was in error in his assumption.

Re: Comparing MAGA to animals
Humans live most of their lives knowing that they will die. So far as I can tell, animals aren't aware of their own impending death though they instinctively respond to a living "being" that is "down" or crying out. Down means trouble. Crying means distress. They instinctively GO to the living being, try to relieve it, or get help. Heck, the gorilla knew that the toddler belonged with it's mother and gently returned it to her.huckelberry wrote: ↑Wed Aug 27, 2025 5:01 amAnimals have the moral advantage of not being ideologically possessed like Hound by an egotistical fake.
Empathy? Compassion? Who knows? They recognize an alarm when they see or hear it, and they try to DO something about it.
Current administration polices produce the polar opposite of that.

Re: Comparing MAGA to animals
Hey Gad I wasn't aiming at Hound at all. I wrote an intentional hook for a reason that is for sure. But the reason was never Hound.
I read his first "reply" and replied back to him. Based on what I've observed in his posts when I do look them over (which is rare but he did post on my thread), I won't be reading any more of his posts or replying to them on this thread.
He's apparently infatuated with the sound of his own "voice". Nothing productive to be had from that.

I never claimed you used the term Nazi or brought it up. What I pointed out is that equating MAGA to animals, which is the focus of this thread, is what you did by providing several links to suggest that animals possess more compassion than MAGA supporters.Jersey Girl wrote: ↑Wed Aug 27, 2025 4:00 amThe video had absolutely nothing to do with Nazis. It seems that you may not have considered the implications of comparing MAGA to animals. Perhaps you believed it was a positive comparison and overlooked the historical context in which Nazis and other harmful regimes have used similar comparisons to dehumanize their enemies.
What I'm suggesting is that you may have made an error without realizing it at the time, which is entirely understandable; such things occur. The issue at hand is that rather than addressing your own comments and acknowledging that comparing MAGA to animals was misguided, especially given the historical context of similar rhetoric used by oppressive regimes, you have opted to reinforce your stance and seek to rationalize your behavior.
Now that you've revealed your German identity, your actions become clear, as just 80 years ago, our homeland, Germany, frequently likened Jews to animals, asserting that they lacked compassion and the ability to feel love. In your opening post, you are attempting to express that a certain group of people is incapable of feeling compassion or love. Bishop Schmo grasped your message perfectly, as his initial comment in the thread was an agreement with you, stating that animals possess a greater sense of morality than MAGA! He recognized that you were dehumanizing a significant segment of Americans, and he concurred with your perspective on this matter.
Since you didn't expect me to engage you on this topic, and now that I have, I'm expressing the same sentiment regarding you. I doubt you'll connect with me since I'm also German, and unlike you, I truly grasp how the Nazis dehumanized the Jews. Are you aware that the Nazis, from the mid 1920s to the mid 1940s, would eliminate words from articles and books that portrayed Jews in a humanizing light? For two decades, the Nazis systematically eliminated any written material that depicted Jews as possessing the ability to be compassionate, experience pain, or love. This represented an effort to strip the Jews of their humanity. Are you aware that for two decades, the Nazis aimed to portray Jews as lacking empathy and honesty? You are trying to achieve the same goal by sharing videos of animals demonstrating compassion towards humans, while simultaneously claiming that MAGA is not capable of such actions.
As a German, I can confidently say that I don't know anyone from my country who would initiate a discussion comparing a group of people to animals. I find it hard to accept your claim of being German, as it's difficult to believe you didn't grasp that the title "comparing Maga to animals as a direct correlation to the Nazis' comparison of Jews to animals. If you are indeed German, various alarms and signals would have likely been ringing in your mind, urging you not to post this thread!
This discussion promotes harmful ideologies by seeking to dehumanize a specific group of individuals. I reached out to you, offering the benefit of the doubt, suggesting that perhaps you didn't fully consider your words before starting this thread. However, I suspect that rather than showing a bit of humility and acknowledging a misstep, you'll choose to double down and attempt to justify your comparison of MAGA to animals. That works for me, as I have numerous articles demonstrating how Nazis doubled down after the war, trying to justify to the liberating armies of World War II their perception of Jews as subhuman.
Is there any part of you that can understand that comparing a group of humans to animals isn't a good idea? Or do you agree with Bishop Schmo?
Will you engage?

Re: Comparing MAGA to animals
Jersey Girl, I came to this thread to add this thought. I’m extending you some trust. I believe it was likely an oversight on your part, and you may not have realized that what you wrote could be perceived as dehumanizing to a group of people.
However, that is the impression it gives, not only from the title but also from the links you shared. I found it to be dehumanizing, and Bishop Schmo felt the same way; just take a look at his post!
I believe you may not be as progressive as the men on this board, so I think you have the capacity to acknowledge when you're mistaken. Simply acknowledge that the thread title was incorrect, and we can proceed from there. I think you made a mistake, it happens!
Allow me to illustrate my point. Would it be appropriate for someone on this board to post a thread titled "Comparing black people to animals"? Would you consider that to be racist? Would you consider it racist if someone posted a thread titled "Comparing the NAACP to animals"? If a thread were posted with the title "Comparing Islam to animals," what emotions would that title evoke in you?
I am genuinely curious, how would any of these thread titles affect your emotions?
