DCP finds himself in the hilarious position of defending himself from the claim that he's obsessed with Trump. Perhaps he's now realizing that calling someone obsessive for the mere act of criticizing a public figure is a bit, well, childish.

But I doubt that will stop DCP from continuing to label anyone here, who dares utter a word of criticism, obsessive.

I assume that there are many members of the MAGA movement (Can you help me know how to identify them so that I can avoid them? Do they put marks on their foreheads or dye their skin so that we can know their intentions?) who don't use extreme language. I am NOT MAGA in the sense that I blindly approve of everything that Mr. Trump does, but I do grow weary of anyone (including you, at times) who refuse to give him credit for anything he does. I apologize if I am wrong, but I do not think I have ever read anything in your Blog that acknowledges any value in anything he has done. I mean, wasn't it extraordinary that he was able to assemble the heads of the major European nations on what seemed to be "a moment's notice"? Now, it may be true that, due to the evil and villainous (are those the MAGA type terms that bother you?) Mr. Putin will likely not respond to or respect what was done in Alaska or DC over less than 7 days, but that does not lessen the impact of those meetings and the significance of what Mr. Trump was able to do. I doubt the evil Mr. Putin will do anything until he has no choice.

That being said, I do look forward to the day when Mr. Trump is no longer President. I grow weary of all the rhetoric he uses, as well as the vitriolic behavior he engenders in those who can't stand to even know that he breathes.

I don't see Trump voters and the MAGA movement as precisely identical groups. And there are certainly MAGA people who don't use extreme language and make extreme accusations. But there are, most definitely, members of the movement who do. (Including Mr. Trump himself.) That can't seriously be denied.

I've repeatedly said, for one thing, that I'm happy with his appointments to the Supreme Court.

My reading of that episode is that European leaders were terrified that Mr. Trump would give the store away to Mr. Putin, and that they assembled out of fear.

To me, this comment is ingenuous and smacks of TDS. Sorry.

Well, since I don't suffer from TDS, you'll probably need to try another diagnosis.

Winston Churchill seems to have recognized that Yalta was something of a catastrophe even while the conference was occurring. He was deeply concerned at Roosevelt's naïveté and weakness.

Yes, that was true. We know that now. And maybe these meetings will prove disastrous as well. Since I am not "all knowing" and can not see the future as plainly as some, I am willing to have hope and wait to see the results, and to give the man some credit for trying. My fear is that this conflict will not be resolved without military intervention. Anything that can be tried to avoid it, should be celebrated and praised by all parties. This is where the TDS and "spinning and whining" whether you or anyone else is guilty of such behavior or not, grows very tiresome. IMHO

I know what whining is. I know what obsession looks like.

I also know what holding and expressing opinions looks like. I don't confuse it with obsessive whining.

Exactly. And in the same way that MAGA folks can invoke “TDS” (Trump Derangement Syndrome), in order to just lazily dismiss every criticism of Trump, DCP can invoke “POB” to equally lazily dismiss everything here.
