Ah yes, I notice that your viewpoint contrasts sharply with what you expressed earlier today when you mentioned that an individual could initiate a thread named "Comparing Blacks to Animals." Your rationale for that title seemed to hinge on the idea that as long as the emphasis was on what you consider the proper interpretation of the thread title, it was acceptable.

My point is that I don't know any conservative who would even consider starting a thread with that title, as there's simply no way to justify such an outrageous title. The problem is that Hound does not know how to interpret what he reads. The OP makes the meaning of the title of the thread very clear. The thread invites people to compare the compassion of animals for human beings to the lack of compassion that MAGA people show to their own species. It is not saying that MAGA folk ARE animals. Instead it suggests that MAGA folk could learn a thing or two from animals, who apparently show more compassion than MAGA policy does.

There is a history behind MAGA's lack of compassion. Sociopaths like Ayn Rand were attracted to this idea that there are superior people who are held back by society and who owe nothing to their fellow beings. These superior people are islands unto themselves, not relying on others in any way to achieve their greatness. Anyone who actually reflects on this for a moment realizes that this idea is not practical, workable, or realistic. It is the wet dream of a psycho.

But that became the mindset of the party that devolved into MAGA. The same party loved Social Darwinism, and thus thought that the advancement of the nation could only occur if everyone competed for supremacy against everyone else all the time. Being kind to the weaker members of society would be counterproductive and actually bring down the whole. These psychos believe in eugenics. Not the eugenics of an explicit selective breeding program, but the eugenics of selecting against the survival of people who don't win the competition to amass the most wealth.

All of these "ideas" run counter to reality in that it was cooperation between humans with different skills and aptitudes that allowed humans to succeed in evolutionary terms, not a dog-eat-dog, constant, vicious competition for individual supremacy in collecting the most wealth. These narrow-minded psycho pricks have an ideology that will succeed in destroying the country and perhaps humanity, since they have decided to replace most everyone with AI, another insanely stupid idea, to have the perfect slaves for their elite club.

Oh, and yes, Nazi ideology was very similar to this MAGA ideology. It, too, promoted eugenics and weeding out those perceived to be weak. Nazi ideology, like MAGA ideology, was stupid, unscientific, and self-destructive.

For a recent example of right-wing folks doing just what you say they don’t, check out Congresscritter Chuck Grassley’s ‘X’ feed, and navigate to the post where he congratulates his Ethiopian granddaughter for having achieved her citizenship. The comments there from MAGA would make a sailor blush.

Actually, I like that older threads are occasionally resurrected. I do this myself sometimes because it focuses a larger amount of discussion more efficiently into a reduced number of similarly-titled topics, which lets folks engage those topics more broadly.

So, go for it. Resurrect stuff. Just do so in a way that adds to the discussion, as opposed to posting something meaningless simply to revive it. That last part is Shades’ wish.
