...The fact that this service missionary has passed away in an accident is sad. Accidents happen all too often all over the world and in many and varied situations. Wouldn't it be awesome if God stepped in every time an accident was about to happen? Or not...
This is a disgusting piece of justification from the mentalgymnast. This was not an "accident." It was an event that happened because of very bad practices on the part of the LDS church. It was entirely avoidable, and it is the fault of this cult masquerading as a religion.
Troll.

I think the board should encourage MG to apply for this opening, since he hasn’t served a senior mission, yet. Cutting grass is a great way to show the Lord you worship Him. A trim lawn is precisely what He wants.

- Doc
I would also like to kindly nudge MG toward a mission. And not just any mission, but one where the primary act of worship is lawn care.

It's a good thing for Dan and MG that there a committed Saints out there willing to take one for the team, while the self-styled elites freeload.

Let's see Dallin mount such a lawn mover and navigate a slope.

Marcus, you are absolutely right. Calling this an "accident" is disgusting. "Accident" is the kind of word you use for a spilled drink, not a tragedy with a clear chain of institutional failures leading up to it. To frame it as an "accident" is an attempt to dodge accountability. I doubt this man had any training provided to him on how to operate such heavy machinery.

What happened wasn't a sad, isolated incident, but a failure that was entirely foreseeable and, therefore, entirely the responsibility of those in charge.

Repeating what I said:

Or not.

You both are making a bunch of accusations and assumptions without any proof. Borderline lying if not outright lying. But Wang, you don’t seem to have any hesitation about doing so. Marcus, you don’t have ANY hesitation about jumping in with a virtual high five.

This is a sad story and you folks are stooping pretty low to place the blame at the feet of the church. This brother was serving willingly and one would think had mowed this section before without mishap. Unfortunately this time it was different. Period. It was an accident. Accidents happen.

Don’t you have something better to do?

Seems like the senior missionary couldn't cut it.

I wonder if, in setting apart the missionary who dies, the priesthood holder forgot to bless him with good health and vigor, and god's protection.

If he forgot - that's really a pity. If he remembered, and did so bless him, that's also a pity.
