I will join you in your celebration of Rusty's birthday. HOWEVER
Wang NOT Hung, can't you simply acknowledge that the man has reached a remarkable milestone of a hundred years?
Wishing you a fantastic birthday, Russell! Excellent work reaching over 100.
Sledge,
A hundred years? Pfft. Let's not forget you're no spring chicken yourself. You've been around the block a few times yourself. Assuming you were a spry 30 when you dropped your son off at that Pacific military base chapel in 1975, you'd be celebrating your 80th birthday right about now. Congratulations to you both!
A fantastic birthday, indeed! It's a truly remarkable milestone, especially when you consider how much history he's lived through. He's seen it all, from the invention of the internet to the invention of a new victory for Satan. Here's to hoping the next hundred years are just as... revelatory.

Happy Birthday to President Nelson!
I hope he has many more.
Whether one is a fan of his or not, I hope we all can agree that his greatest accomplishment is keeping Oaks from taking over the church for 7 years so far.
Indeed.

Your beef is with MG 2.0. He couldn't simply acknowledge that Nelson reached his 101 b-day. MG 2.0 added, "What an amazing life he has lived and what an impact he has had on the church. Here is a nice encapsulation of his life and accomplishments: ... ." The door was opened.
So Everybody Wang Chung and others have merely chimed in about Nelson's life and what was left out of the LDS whitewashing of Nelson's life.

Since President Nelson has been prophet there has been a significant increase in humanitarian aid. In 2024 alone, the church spent $1.45 billion on welfare, aid, and other relief efforts, supporting 3,800 humanitarian projects across 192 countries and territories. https://www.faithmatters.org/p/presiden ... ons-legacy
President Nelson pursued a friendship and partnership with the NAACP and a commitment to rooting out racism. He led a dramatic expansion of temple building across the globe. https://www.faithmatters.org/p/presiden ... ons-legacy
I just want to say to President Nelson first, thank you. for your leadership and being a visionary. And I've met lots of people in my life, scholars, academics, politicians, religious leaders, et cetera. And President Nelson has had an impact on my life, like no other. And so the work that we've done through the NAACP has been with the Reliance Initiative that has been amazing to help people in the African American community we've worked on this extraordinary project called My Baby for Me, which is to help reduce infant mortality in the African American community.
And we have several other initiatives that we're working on, but I find him to be not just a peacemaker, But I find him to be a bridge builder and just a selfless servant. So thank you, President Nelson, for being an amazing visionary.
