That being the case and knowing that bygones are not bygones as far as you two are concerned, and knowing you view past history through a skewed lens just as you do with all of anything having to do with church history, I do not feel obligated to interact with you knowing that conversations are going to be ‘attacked’ at the outset. I’ve known this but have chosen to take the time and interact with both of you. It seems rather fruitless to continue to do so.
Board participants need to know in advance that this a decision I’m making so that it doesn’t simply appear that I am ‘wimping out’. I’m not. But it’s not productive on my part to continue conversing with those that hold long standing grudges and are not able to monitor and adjust now that we are down the road from those times. And the fact is, again, it takes two to tango. That was the case then. There were some strong things said both ways. I admit to that. But that time has come and gone for me where it hasn’t for you.
I think I need to put both of you on ignore knowing that this will result in stuff coming my way that I will consciously be ignoring and having to deal with false innuendo that is out of my earshot except for what others might be saying. etc. Even then I will not engage in any conversation where I know you two are doing what you do best. No, they don’t. You need to appeal to board participants in the hope they we feel you’re a victim, you’re not.
But it’s not too late. You could have offered an unequivocal apology to the board for your horrible and unchristian behaviour towards grindael. You didn’t. Not even after he died. You belligerently refused to take responsibility for your own behaviour. That’s just who you are. It’s always everyone else’s fault.
Here’s your chance, offer a full and unequivocal (you may want to look that up because you are prone to insert lots of caveats and mealy-mouthed sentences to avoid giving a straight answer) apology to grindael and to the people who enjoyed grindael’s posts. You could do that. But you won’t. You’ll belligerently stick to your self-serving narrative. Good luck at the pearly gates when you’re trying that on with St. Peter.
