When an American citizen is publicly assassinated on American soil, it is always a "net negative" - Always. There are no exceptions. None.
But despite that... guns for everyone!

I mean... it's only so net negative, right?
Religion is for people whose existential fear is greater than their common sense. It's also the favored cover for hypocrites.

The god idea is popular with desperate people.

I suppose we will never know whether his murder was a nett negative or a nett positive. Had Hitler been murdered prior to gaining power, people would probably echo your Kirk sentiments about him.

Laban had to die, even though he had done nothing to warrant his murder and had no means of defending himself at the time. I don’t hear Mormon’s saying nice things about Laban. Even though the circumstances are similar.
Had Hitler been assassinated before his rise to power, he would have been remembered as a minor crank who wrote a bad book in prison.

But you take my point. A lot of people would have said nice things about poor Adolf, had he been murdered before he was able to perpetrate and facilitate great wrongs.
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

I suppose that we should know how insane it is when we read insane posts like the one you have delivered here (even if some remain blind to this reality).

To even consider such an evil act as a "net positive", is itself evil. Pure evil.
If an Austrian citizen is murdered on Austrian soil, is that also always a nett negative - knowing what we know about what Hitler went in to do?

Is it only American citizens where this applies?

I join with all of those who deeply regret the monstrous murder of Charlie Kirk happened. It was a horrible, horrible thing, and it has led to further unfortunate and unwanted developments. This cowardly act robbed a spouse of a husband, children of a father, and a lot of young people of their hero. As I said earlier, no sane person would have wanted this to happen, whether they liked Kirk or not. Moreover, no sane person should rejoice in heinous acts of murder.
Thanks for sharing, Kish. You managed to describe how I feel about the murder, too.

Sure. A public figure will always have supporters and detractors. Charlie Kirk is, however, a much more sympathetic figure than Hitler, even before Hitler had the opportunity to inflict untold damage upon the world and its peoples. As a Christian family man, Charlie will be more admired than the solitary failed artist and political opportunist Adolf. There are similarities, however, in that both of them had a rhetorical flair and a lack of higher education. It does not seem to me, however, that Kirk was much of a "big ideas" sort of guy. Hitler's ideas may have been horrible, but he had a vision of German Empire that was founded on a historical basis and had a sweeping objective. I am not aware that Charlie Kirk's ideas went beyond supporting MAGA in a way that was consistent with his values and beliefs, some of which I deeply disagree with.

At the funeral service for Charlie Kirk. I heard this come out of his mouth with my own ears. I heard a stadium full of presumably self proclaimed Christians cheer this on.

"He did not hate his opponents. He wanted the best for them. That's where I disagreed with Charlie. I hate my opponent and I don't want the best for them. I'm sorry. I am sorry Erika." ~ Donald Trump

This isn't disagreeing with Charlie Kirk. It's the POLAR OPPOSITE of what Christ taught.

Groan. Why people ever excused this grotesque nonsense is beyond me.

As a self-proclaimed Christian yourself, do you have any other thoughts/opinions about anything else you heard in the 7-8 hours?

Also, among the 100,000 people that your heard, do you know how many of them were self-proclaimed Christians and how many were not?

For what it's worth, as a self-proclaimed Christain myself, I heard the Gospel preached, I heard hours of worship music, I heard praise towards Jesus, I heard many express mourning, and most significant of all, I heard a very recent widow express one of the most remarkable/loving/Christian things I have ever heard in my life. I am still blown away by it.

Yeah, and I heard Trump saying inappropriate things in a very inappropriate environment. I guess we all have ears, and we all hear what we choose.

How did the mourners react upon hearing Trumps inappropriate things? I guess they booed him, didn’t they?
