At this point DJT, his cabinet, and abettors should be arrested and tried for violation of the Bill of Rights. You also, literally because of the Posse Comitatus Act, cannot turn the troops loose on Americans. The President can only do what he’s doing if Congress allows it for very obvious and legal reasons. And he didn’t bother to get that. That’s unconstitutional.

That is as clear an analysis as I have seen, and he is 100% correct. We are so screwed. If we had a functional republic any longer, bi-partisan impeachment proceedings would be currently underway, and we would be confident that Trump would be convicted and removed. In other words, according to the milblogger, Hegseth is advocating complete abandonment of the Geneva Convention and the very concept of war crimes when our military goes to war, including prohibitions against chemical, biological, nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction and even genocide. What a totally unacceptable and immoral concept! And Hegseth claims to be a Christian! The whole concept of Christian Nationalism as advocated by Trump and his MAGA administration is as antithetical to Christian ideals, as taught by Jesus in the New Testament, in whom they profess to believe, as anything could possibly be!
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

How can anyone with an IQ greater than that of a rutabaga, regardless of political persuasion, still fail to see that Trump has no moral scruples and cares for nothing except for what benefits him and his cronies? Does anyone fail to see that he is striving to purge the military and every branch or agency of government of anyone not slavishly loyal to himself alone? It is not at all hyperbole to characterize him as a fascistic, wannabe absolute tyrant, much like Kim Jong Un! Did anyone see what his ICE agents did in Chicago Friday? Breaking into people's homes and apartment, pulling them outside, in the cold, some of them nearly naked and zip tying even young children together and then going in and trashing their homes? It is unlawful to treat even hardened criminals and prisoners of war in that manner! Iet alone children!
