Bad Bunny to perform at Super Bowl

I barely know what the Super Bowl is and I'd never even heard of Bad Bunny. Apparently, Bad Bunny has the no. 1 Spotify album of all time. There are good reasons the NFL, a profit-raking institution, wishes to have the most popular singer in the world perform at Half Time. Not Steely Dan, Alice n' Chains, or Angry Aryans, but some guy I'd never even heard of until today.

Apparently, Megyn Kelley is outraged over this, saying that Mr. Bunny is "anti-Conservative" and "hates America" while other conservative pundits claim none of his songs are in English. The last claim seems accurate, I checked out a video on YouTube with 17 million views and it was incomprehensible to me. I can't say I cared for the song, but, I think it's great the the NFL is putting profits first. It also shows that American culture still prizes individuality.

I have to wonder who would be an acceptable Half Time performer for conservatives? Rock and pop music and conformity to the State don't really go together. It would be a shock if any of Whiskey's favorite musicians are Trumpers.

It's O.K. I have heard Trump and his ICE fellows will be there for half time as well, mopping up the place of evils being portrayed. Thank God Trump keeps America clean and sanitary.....

I heard Echo and Bunnymen are already booked.
Ban Whiskey permanently if that's the only way.

I wonder if Megyn Kelley remembers that Puerto Rico is a US territory.

Megyn Kelly is a moron.
Religion is for people whose existential fear is greater than their common sense. It's also the favored cover for hypocrites.

The god idea is popular with desperate people.

I like his album X100pre (it's on the Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Albums list). There's an eastside joint I like to hit up that's close to home, and if people are doing only Latin music in the jukebox, I'll go for something from this album so I don't kill the vibe, but also get to hear something I enjoy. I have his Un Verano Sin Ti in my truck right now (yay for the library). I've only listened to about 8 tracks into the first disc (it's a double album). It's much more Reggaeton and Latin Pop than the other album (which is more of a Latin Hip Hop). Not my cup of tea at all, but definitely a talented dude.

Hopefully he's able to snag a really good art director for the show's backdrop and choreography. I don't watch the Super Bowl, but I almost always watch videos of the halftime show. Sometimes, musicians given a nice little NFL-esque budget can create some pretty awesome shows (Michael Jackson, Dre/Snoop/'em, Lady Gaga, The Weeknd, U2, Prince), and sometimes... it's... not so awesome (Coldplay, Black Eyed Peas, Phil Collins/Enrique Iglesias/et. al.).
