Seems accurate so far.Hound of Heaven wrote: ↑Fri Oct 10, 2025 1:00 pmProgressive ideology leads it's members to believe electroshock therapy is cruel because it's right wing, but body mutilation performed on children is a "just cause" because it's performed by medical doctors that are part of their progressive cult!

Re: Detransitioners vs the Progressive Machine: A Legal and Cultural Time Bomb
I don't have any legitimate right to weigh in on the issue, as long as it is by the consent and desire of minors in question and it genuinely contributes to their happiness, comfort and well-being. Is it any worse than stuffing breasts with saline solution-filled sacks to enhance the size of their breasts, as canpakes suggested? I think it is unfortunate that so many women feel the need to enhance the size of their breasts in order feel attractive and desirable, though I understand why some who have had to have mastectomies due to injuries or cancer treatments desire surgical breast restoration or enhancement. I don't judge a woman as more beautiful or desirable just because she has larger than average breasts. I have seen women with relatively small or even tiny breasts that I found to be extremely beautiful and lovable, and some women with abnormally large breasts, especially surgically enhanced ones, rather unattractive and uncomfortable looking.canpakes wrote: ↑Thu Oct 09, 2025 1:56 pmArgue that point, Hound. Tell us why someone should not be allowed to do this, if they have given consent.Hound of Heaven wrote: ↑Thu Oct 09, 2025 1:38 pmI am curious whether Gunnar the Dumber supports the removal of healthy breast tissue from 776 minors in an effort to help them feel more comfortable in their own bodies.
Are you against stuffing breasts with saline solution-filled sacks if the patient consents?
In fact, I think there may be more women who would benefit health, comfort and appearance wise from breast reduction surgery than from breast enhancement, especially if their breasts are so large and heavy that the straps of the bra needed to hold them up cut painfully into their shoulders and the weight of holding them up causes back problems, which is among the reasons that some women seek breast reduction surgery.
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

Re: Detransitioners vs the Progressive Machine: A Legal and Cultural Time Bomb
Here’s a thought-provoking question for you, Gunnar, though I suspect you may not respond truthfully due to the influence of the Marxist ideology you follow.
If you think you don't have any valid perspective on the "breast removal issue for children" regarding those experiencing gender dysphoria, then consider how it would be if BYU resumed using electroshock therapy in an effort to alleviate the mental distress of homosexuals struggling with their identity! Are you going to be inconsistent by believing it is acceptable to alter children's bodies to alleviate their gender dysphoria, while simultaneously opposing electric shock therapy for gay children at BYU if it aids in easing their discomfort with being gay, turning them heterosexual?
I believe that electroshock therapy for homosexual individuals is a misguided approach, much like the idea of mutilating children by removing their body parts is also deeply troubling. Can we conclude that Gunnar supports electroshock therapy for homosexual children, provided that there is consent from the child, the doctor, and the parents?

Hound, are you proposing that electroshock therapy be illegal if sought for by child, parent, and doctor? Perhaps an argument in that direction could be based upon lack of success.

What in the hell? What if a minor, by their own consent and desire, wants to smoke crack and steal cars?
I don't think you understand the whole minor thing.

Re: Detransitioners vs the Progressive Machine: A Legal and Cultural Time Bomb
What a stupid comparison! Smoking Crack and stealing cars is illegal. It is not inherently illegal or harmful to anyone other than oneself to harbor strong transgender feelings or desires! Nor is it by deliberate conscious choice to have or acquire such feelings, as I understand it. I will concede, though, that it is highly questionable to perform sex change surgery on immature minors. No reputable or moral medical authorities are going to try to persuade or recruit anyone, minor or adult (especially a minor) into agreeing to a have a sex change operation who doesn't already desperately want one. That would or should be criminal.
By the way, I would find it hard to imagine that even if I had strong transgender feelings I would want to go through the expense, pain and danger of getting an irreversible sex change operation. But then, not being transgender myself, I am probably incapable of truly understanding what it would truly be like to be one.

Yeah, well, not being an adult, many or most minors are probably incapable of understanding adult decisions.

Of course not.
In that, you have your likely answer. Mutilation in the service of vanity is something that he will approve of.
