If 7 million terrorists were rioting in the streets, then the administration was justified to use force and make arrests. In fact, we the people demand that they would. Yet, they did nothing to protect us from these criminals. That showed weakness. Another TACO move.
If I recall correctly, the majority of the ‘Hate America Terrorists’ arrested at last weekend’s No Kings rallies appear to be disgruntled MAGA folks. Odd.

As for the so-called protest - it is not angering or maddening. It is funny. And it is stupid and it is unproductive.
It was productive, in the sense that it so irritated Trump and his sycophants that they lost their self-control, went into a spastic fit of trying to ‘own the libs’ by passing around pics of themselves in crowns, and posted AI-generated vids of Trump dumping sh!t on American citizens, from a plane.

That sort of public mental dysfunction will be on record forever. : D

Nah, it was just Trump being honest about how he feels about America and Americans.

After sleeping on it, I think it was productive. The president called for everyone who attended to be arrested and his press secy or whatever she is, the girl who isn't Christian but wears a cross, called the protesters illegals, terrorists and whatever. This legitimized the protest as a powerful force for evil. Had they just ignored it and said it wasn't a big deal, "let them cry about their loss," then perhaps you would have a point. This would have been the smarter move and congruent with the fact that they didn't do anything about it. If 7 million terrorists were rioting in the streets, then the administration was justified to use force and make arrests. In fact, we the people demand that they would. Yet, they did nothing to protect us from these criminals. That showed weakness. Another TACO move.

Aside from the administration revealing an empty hand in the Reno card game, there were other ways in which it was productive. Seven million+ showed they weren't scared and the TACO revealed itself. The numbers could be disputed, of course, but, on the theory that the cult of positivity always wins, standing firm and exaggerating the numbers is the right play. Most importantly, 7 million people showed they weren't scared. This is important for mid-terms, because we all know that the administration is planning on using the military in some way to secure the election for the party in power if gerrymandering doesn't work. Perhaps it will be to seize voting machines, as has been tried in the past, or perhaps it will be to take the place of the Proud Boys and "watch the polls" -- intimidate people from voting in swing states especially. This will ease fears that people are not allowed to go out and vote.

Now, one could argue that these ideas about seizing voting machines and the like are a bunch of conspiratorial nonsense. The counter to that is 1) Should the worst fears play out, those people will just say the master troll wins again, and laugh. What they will never say is, "it's conspiratorial nonsense to seize voting machines, our leader is a just and decent man and would never do such a thing, which would be unconstitutional." All of the Republicans on this forum are prepared to back the administration and likely are hoping the administration will do something outrageous like seize voting machines. 2) even if the fears are unjustified, fears are subjective. And so even if Democrat voters shouldn't be afraid to vote in midterms, what matters if they are afraid, and if they are afraid, then the will be less afraid due to 7 million + protesters defying the administration and getting away with it.
Revisiting this, Gad.

You say 7 million. I have not paid any attention to know if that is accurate or not. Though, I doubt it. And, as usual, their entire identity is defined by Trump. See above. When it is not about what Trump was alleged to have done, it is about what he will do, probably allegedly. The give a damn's for what Trump "will probably do" are low, low low low.

Do you agree with me that this protest is net neutral, at best? Whatever these 7 million were carrying on about will be less relevant than them carrying on. And the goofassery of it all, "No Kings!", and the absurdity will swing more voters away from the spectacle and give the swing voters a reason to not vote for that crap. Or, do you think it converted someone to their no king bitch and influenced a swing voter in their favor?
