It is moderately amusing watching the Christian Nationalists meltdown over their fear that someone might intwine their religion into the government.

And how does that amusement compare to watching the meltdown over Christianity intwining? I find neither amusing in the meltdown nor the intwinement.
Ban Whiskey permanently if that's the only way.

Generally, I get more amusement from meltdowns over hypotheticals.

Was never a big fan of Cheney's philosophy that a 1% chance of an adverse outcome should be treated as an inevitability.

The last 8 or so years have been an amusement bonanza!

It's probably one of the few things that's helped me maintain sanity. I stopped watching SNL somewhere mid-Obama's 2nd term, because realty started becoming its own kind of satirical skit that was hard to beat.

Wanger, how would you compare your MAGA artifact collection to ComC4's Nazi collection? Probably about the same, right? Y'all are quite invested in that stuff.

"Strategery" and "Lockbox" was the best and worst thing to ever happen to SNL's political writing teams. On the one hand - they hit a home run. On the other hand - it was toooooooooo tooooo toooo close to reality. It changed their writing. I think SNL has drifted in an out out but never had the traction they had with the Reagan Bush mockery. That's all a sidetrack from your point. Carry on.
