Re: Auto pen....
I probably wouldn't have watched the video had my drinking partner Whiskey not recommend it to me for comment. I have reviewed the first minute of the video.
Clearly, she does care, and she appears glad that right-wingers will suffer. Of course, it could be argued, "I couldn't care less" is a figure of speech and there isn't a whole lot riding on its technical accuracy. It really is a self-undermining expression. I can't think of a time when I've heard somebody utter that statement consistent with their manner of expression. If a person really doesn't care, they probably won't say anything.
I think the more serious question though is to what extent one is justified to revel in the suffering of right-wingers for their horrible judgment? It is something I've thought about. I think there's a comparison to drunk driving. I would be happy if drunk driving had no consequences. If anytime a person who got stone drunk jumped behind a wheel just happened to get lucky and never run into anything, I'd be cool with that. If they were totally delusional and arrogant about the risks of their drinking, but somehow got lucky, even if cheating fate made them even more arrogant, I'd be like, "so what?" I wouldn't be able to bring myself to care.
But the real world doesn't go like that. Voting red this go around was very much like that hot head getting into his '67 Duster fixed up with a Mopar crate hemi after finishing off half a bottle of Wild Turkey and flooring it into a school zone while swerving all over the place and laughing. Of course, I'd prefer such a situation to unfold with no injuries to anybody. But, if there will be an accident and somebody is to get hurt, I'd hope it were the drunk driver. If there are to be bad consequences, we prefer those exercising poor judgment to suffer them before any innocents. This has nothing to do with learning a lesson as I believe these sorts of people are incapable of changing for the better.
And if the drunk driver takes out a few pedestrians, then how should we feel? Well yes, it gets complicated. I'm less concerned about my tax money helping the drunk driver should he run into a telephone pole. However, should I hope that consequences befall such an individual if it is learned that their drunk driving wiped out a few pedestrians?
That's a tough question. A really tough question.

How ever did you manage to get through all that, without a lyric nod to Faith No More? Was that art or the whiskey?Gadianton wrote: ↑Fri Nov 07, 2025 4:09 amI probably wouldn't have watched the video had my drinking partner Whiskey not recommend it to me for comment. This blue city red state and blue state red state thing is going to spill over soon. There is nothing in the world quite like the central valley farmers. And I suppose there are some great liberal boilermakers too. All this caring about sides and winning and the pain of others is only accomplishing one thing, more caring.

I generally signed my work. I would be surprised to learn that a goofy looking picture of Biden was moved to Prison on that basis alone.Dr Exiled wrote: ↑Sun Jun 29, 2025 2:28 amIt seems obvious what was going on prior to Trump coming back into office. Biden showed signs of decline back in 2020 and I posted about it and Res or one of the other mods quickly put my Biden picture down in spirit prison, where only those with an account can see. It got worse as time went on and of course everyone saw the debate fiasco a year ago. He wasn't running the country and the question is whether he ever was from January 20, 2021 to the time he left office. Here is the picture again for everyone's viewing pleasure:
Actually, I don't think this is the exact picture I posted 4 1/2 years ago but it still gives the same impression of the poor guy and his cognitive decline.

Found it, I think. viewtopic.php?p=7154#p7154M
Unless Jersey Girl started the thread in Prison, which I doubt, the entire thread was moved to Prison. I have no idea why. I don’t see any reason why it should be there. My guess is a mistake.
At any rate, I don’t see any reason to believe that the entire thread was moved in response to the photo Dr Exiled posted.

I didn't do anything. I'm innocent of all charges. If anything funky happened then Shades did it.Res Ipsa wrote: ↑Sat Nov 08, 2025 12:01 amFound it, I think. viewtopic.php?p=7154#p7154M

I might not have said it that way but I can't disagree with what she's laying down in that. It's like they had no foresight. Selective amnesia or something. It has to hit home before they get it and now it's just a matter of time before it does. Red caps aren't exempt.
