BYU did really well this year, with both losses going coming from Texas Tech, a very good football program. BYU actually looked really good the first quarter, held TT on their first drive then scored first. Then they kind of started to fizzle out and TT came on strong. When Bachmeier hurt his ankle, that kind of sealed the deal.

Anyway, I'm still a Cougs fan and it was a fun season to watch.
Let's hope Bachmmeier doesn't hit the transfer portal. Cougarboard is reporting Oregon, Ole Miss and Texas have already reached out. BYU is going to have to renegotiate his NIL deal if they want to keep him.
Yeah this whole NIL system changes everything. Good from the standpoint that the schools that used to have a lock on all the recruiting (SEC and big name schools) now have to compete, but bad that its all about money now. I mean something had to be done in favor of the students, but its sort of a free for all right now. But its allowing some smaller schools to get into the game if they can muster up the funds to pay some recruits.

Anyway, I think the "humiliated" in the title in this thread is over the top on what was a great year for BYU.

From my perspective, because they did have a great year, that's what makes such a lopsided loss to Texas Tech much more acutely humiliating than if BYU had a mediocre or poor record this year.
