Quantity over quality is certainly one way to go about discussing Mormonism…

MG has been on this board a long time and has never been able to tell us the king's name in Facsimile No. 3. I've asked him over 25 times and he refuses to answer.
Why?
Because he's trolling us and everyone knows it, including himself.
I'll ask him another 25 times over the years to come. He's not getting off the hook.

You are mistaken, Huck.
1) MG *does* know the answer to the question which is: There is no king's name, period!
2) MG ever refuses to give his answer because it destroys faith in Smith's professed ability to translate/interpret Egyptian writings by the power of the Holy Ghost®.
3) End of story!

Looks like another 'all about MG' and his purported faults and failings thread has run its course. As I've said many times, this place is an echo chamber of discontented folks who just don't like the church/gospel and what it asks us (them at one time) to do. When this is the case, one will crawl over and under and around anything, including decent people that would like to share 'out of the box' thinking showing how the gospel/church can be dovetailed with reality as we see it in the world. We're simply called names or given ineligibility status which forfeits, for all intents and purposes, our participating in good faith.
Then, all is well. One can continue doing whatever you're doing or not doing.
OK. This should get another two or three pages.
Regards,
MG

I don't. That's why I haven't answered it. And yes, you're right, it's not the "end of everything".huckelberry wrote: ↑Sun Dec 14, 2025 4:34 pmIt is possible that MG does not have an answer to this particular question. And he’s doing it on the Sabbath. Shocking.
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

I REALLY don’t know any of you people. The funny thing is, you somehow think you know me so well…
Let me know where and when. I’ll bring ice cream if you’ll bring the toppings. Know alcohol or mind altering drugs. Let’s keep it real.![]()
Real life group dynamics aren’t even closely aligned with the realities of a board like this one. Man, what would it be like to sit down with some of you with a bowl of ice cream in hand. : lol:

MG should open his scriptures on the sabbath. Read and memorize them like any good missionary and be able to provide ANSWERS:
A Facsimile from the Book of Abraham No. 3 wrote:Explanation
Fig. 1. Abraham sitting upon Pharaoh’s throne, by the politeness of the king, with a crown upon his head, representing the Priesthood, as emblematical of the grand Presidency in Heaven; with the scepter of justice and judgment in his hand.
Fig. 2. King Pharaoh, whose name is given in the characters above his head.
Fig. 3. Signifies Abraham in Egypt as given also in Figure 10 of Facsimile No. 1.
Fig. 4. Prince of Pharaoh, King of Egypt, as written above the hand.
Fig. 5. Shulem, one of the king’s principal waiters, as represented by the characters above his hand.
Fig. 6. Olimlah, a slave belonging to the prince.
Abraham is reasoning upon the principles of Astronomy, in the king’s court.

Despite all the chemical abuse he did to himself, he's held up amazingly well.
