CNN's update is very generic and appears to rely on the interview that I linked to.
Oh it does? I might check the updates later. Apologies for wasting your time.
Not a waste. This one is fascinating.

Other rags have almost identical information as CNN. Seems like a lot of copy paste stuff right now.

Read it, yeah it's interesting for sure. I want to know what they were fighting about. It'll all come out in the wash as they say. This is the first true crime story I've gotten interested in for a very long time. If I get totally into it I'll probably bore the world with updates on this thread so buckle up and watch me pump it back up from time to time. I tend to get a little too invested in it!

No. I don't get obsessed.

p.s. I lie.

Let the adventures continue. I don't think the crime will be very interesting. Looks like escalated DV. Not a lot of mystery. Now, the enabling that lead to the killer living in the guesthouse for five years while raging and binging on drugs.... that, is something. The history is going to be a doozy.

Oh yeah. I'm always after the psychology, relationship dyamics, motivations, and forensic investigation. I keep thinking about how whether or not the family observes Jewish, Christian, secular or not holiday season at all, they're going to reexperience the trauma of this for the rest of their lives. You can't get away from the festivities of the season. I know from first hand experience how when one has experienced the traumatic death of a family member how it seems like the rest of the world is out their living their lives while time has stopped for you. I suppose the sense of time standing still is a kind of gift that helps us to process the death and psychologically survive it for those who do.

In this case I hope justice is done whatever that may look like. There's probably going to be conflicting feelings about that within the family as well. After all it's still their brother who likely did the crime that took away their parents. Lots of emotional push and pull going on there. I pray the remaining family members somehow survive it.

Forgot to mention this. If they were observant Jews I believe they need to be buried within 24 hours of death. Not sure if that still stands. That complicates things even further with regard to an active investigation.

ETA: Just read that exceptions can be made according to the faith allowing delays in burial. I'm sure active investigation of a death is permissible. Apparently embalming is to be avoided. Don't know how that works in this case. I have a friend who would have experience with this--licensed mortician. I'll ask her.

Whiskey creates a thread saying a person who died slung a lot of crap but not enough to deserve dying. This puts me in a trap: If I ask for clarification, to give an example of the crap slinging, I get yelled at and berated. Jersey suggested that I might be able to guess at what Whiskey means, given his posting history here. But historically, when I have done that, when I assume I know what Whiskey is talking about because it seems obvious, I get yelled at for being a "mind reader". So this time, I figured I'd ask Whiskey what he meant rather than read his mind. And look at the result, the berating was worse than if I would have just done the mind reading.

And now after the thread is dying down, he's loading another trap. What kind of enabling would lead to a child killing their parents like this? I can ask for an example of the enabling as loaded questions often indicate the author has an opinion, but will that get me yelled at and berated because presumably it's obvious? Or do I risk getting gored with the other horn by assuming I know what he means and responding to that?

Well, I think I can reasonably speculate what Megyn Kelley would say. Last year when I drove to Utah for the holidays I learned there was a Megyn Kelley channel on XM radio so I listened for a while. She had a right-wing substance abuse expert on and because it was such a long conversation, Megyn gave her opinion on situations like this over and over, that she would have kicked the kids sorry ass out long ago and let him be homeless because you can't enable people by helping them, they'll take your last cent, and just make it worse. But the right-wing counselor corrected her over and over, explaining that "tough love" doesn't work, because addictions these days are way past the point where people can get themselves out by being rational about it. So the accusation that liberal or false Christian values like compassion and charity resulted in the murder would be shut down by that right-wing counselor chick on Megyn Kelley. Just in case that's anyone's opinion here.

I was making the point, that Reiner's life, in this case, depended on not being around his son, who is likely not a so-called MAGAet. Not only is your imagination and horror fantasy crap delusional, your writing is retardo. If your point was anything other than people who voted for Trump will kill you, you wrote poorly. If that was your point, you are still a damned idiot.
Re: the bold, that was Trump's point in his deranged rant posted up thread. So, again, it's good to see you finally spitting out the Kool-Aid and recognizing that Trump is, indeed, a damned idiot.
SMH... wow. Brain damage is certainly on the table.

OK, Whiskey. Yes, Whiskey, you are so right. How could anyone have ever doubted your superior intellect? Shame on us.

(I don't expect this to appease his innate, bottomless well of irrational anger, but it's worth a shot. Being real doesn't seem to work, either.)

Only if you take him seriously, which I would never recommend.

Taking him seriously is like regarding Mad Magazine as a newspaper.

You are not a mind reader. You are a hallucinator. You imagine things that are not there and you address your hallucinations as facts.

Nobody yelled at you. This forum lacks audible features.

I posted an example. If you disagree with the claim, state your reasons.

Screw you. If you think Reiner could sling enough mud to deserve his own murder and his wife's murder then damned say it you stupid and twisted “F”. Screw you. “F” your victimization. “F” your presuppositions.
