As Rachel Maddow has clearly pointed out, there is no longer any ambiguity or doubt that Trump is indeed trying to turn this country into a dictatorship favoring White male, protestant, evangelical extremists.

The only real ambiguity or question is whether the American electorate, particularly Republicans, and the current majority conservative Supreme Court will allow Trump to get away with it, much to the detriment of democracy itself and constitutional guarantees of human rights and freedoms.

There is nothing I can think of that is more absurd than the contention by white nationalists that guaranteeing all minorities the same rights and equality under the law as White Anglo Saxon Protestants somehow constitutes White genocide.

Rachel Maddow is quite insightful. I don't seek out her content, but every once in a while it comes my way and I listen, and find myself agreeing. Whiskey could learn a lot from Rachel if he gave her content a chance. I wonder if he could cite a specific example of horse crap. Let's see some evidence.

Anyway, while there is truth to the above quote, I think it's more true to say that white, patriarchal evangelical extremists have found a growing niche in social media and have heavily lobbied Trump, and that Trump is an opportunist and if they are the ones to worship him he's happy enough to go with the least path of resistance. I really don't think he cares if the country is white or a dictatorship as long as he gets to win on paper. Look at Kash Patel. Look at Zohran Mamdani. Did you see the way he fawned over Mamdani? That's the biggest bro crush I've ever seen. He can't stand Peter Miller on a personal level, he's just stuck with these people and they are the ones obsessed with dictatorships and Christian rule. But only half of these are actually Christian even in a nominal sense, some are F-250 red-interior Christians who wear a cross when they're smoking weed in the tattoo shop on any given Sunday. Others are more neo-Nazi types and enjoy the irony of saying they are Christian which is supposed to be about love while they beat people to death. I doubt he can stand Hegseth. If he had his choice, he'd be bro-ing it up with Mamdani as a leftist populist.

People need to wake up and see that they are the problem, because they have given the social media stage to incompetent extremists who know how to draw attention to themselves. If the trajectory continues, it's true that a few more white male "Christians" will come to power, but the average white male is going to be worse off. And even those who get power will be in that uncomfortable territory where they can be ousted and thrown into prison at any time.
