I remember on one of the boards - The Foyer? - a bunch of people ripped their favourite tracks off various CDs, burned their selections onto writeable CDs, and mailed them to each other. Was anyone here in that group?

I wonder if I still have a folder somewhere with my contributions. A lot of mine were instrumentals, featuring people like Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Jeff Beck, Dave Edmunds. I think it included several renditions of The Stumble and perhaps some other white boy blues tracks.
Don't recall that. By the time I came along, you could buy an ipod on Craigslist with thousands of songs and albums burned onto it. Apple employees were buying them with their discount, loading them to the top with songs, and selling them for 2x retail on craiglist.
Ban Whiskey permanently if that's the only way.

Yes, Nightlion. I wonder if he is still at it.

There was also another poster. His handle was Space or Spacy. I believe he was fond of soft cotton dresses.
Nightlion passed away last spring.

Several years ago (perhaps on the same trip to UT when I met MG) I tried to visit James' visitor centre, but just couldn't manage to fit it in. My wife & I met several people that I'd known only online, and failed to connect with a couple of others, some of whom, like James, are no longer alive.

With the current state of the Excited States, and extra potential difficulties for people with off-white skin, It's likely that we will never set foot in the US again.

We drove through Utah on the way to Fallon NV and I thought about stopping to see him but decided against it. I did look for the shadows he saw though haha

That is correct. Kevin saw the light first, then Paul did, then I slowly became the caboose and saw the light bringing up the rear so to speak. Both Kevin and Paul went way beyond where I did by actually contacting the Egyptologists and getting their inputs. I haven't seen Kevin much at all for years., Paul is now the singular most powerful force against the Book of Abraham and papyri on the planet. Er, maybe I should say Dan Vogel is so far as the actual scholarship and attitude goes, but Osborne simply won't lose because he has it down cold. True his attitude does his approach far more damage than good, but his information is incredibly powerful!

Yes, I've got the Book of Abraham in my back pocket, sealed up in surety.

Yeah, my approach can be way out there, but it's how I operate. I play to win.

As a critic of Mormonism, I never argue unless I know I have a winning hand. Period. I either hold a royal flush or I shut the f-up.

I learned that he had died this summer, when I was visiting SLC and discovered I was staying fairly close to God visitor’s center. When the number turned out to be disconnected, I was prompted by the spirit to google his name and “obituary.” By all accounts he was very pleasant in person and I regret the missed opportunity.

There was a video that he had posted somewhere in which he sang a song and spoke about what he had seen. I regret not stopping as well. I think that was probably 10 years ago.

We were in St George for Easter 2015. I think that was the trip I've referred to. Met 5 or 6 people, and missed another 3 or 4.
