In order to be a loyal diaper king follower, you must lie. It is a requirement of MAGAteness (similar to the way it's a requirement to lie for any church member). They have to lie in order to defend Trump, but they also have to lie just to have MAGAte credibility. Unless you lie in a blatant way, other MAGAtes won't believe you're really on board. You have to be a willing deceiver.
As a consequence, I have no interest in what MAGAtes say. They could make a totally valid case (theoretically, but not really) and it wouldn't move me because lying is part of their core values. The baseline for any communication is regarding your interlocutor as worthy of being listened to. MAGAtes don't come close to meeting that bar. If you voted for Trump, you're too stupid for your opinion to even be considered.

Think about this: MTG, since breaking ranks with Trump and his loyalists, now occasionally sounds sane. It's like, oh wow... she's not entirely delusional. She has opinions I disagree with obviously, but she's starting to acknowledge certain facts.
