The only person here to mention ‘black people’ is yourself. Is there a reason why you decided to introduce that and then say that it sounded racist?

No it wasn't me who mentioned it first. Biden and other Democrats have claimed for years that requiring voter ID, as outlined in the SAVE act discriminates against black people, hence his claim that it was Jim Crow 2.0. Why do you think requiring all voters to present an ID discriminates against black people, so much so that it's equivalent to Jim Crow voting laws? 76% of black people and 81% of white people believe that voters should have to present an ID to vote.
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

In this conversation, you are the first.
Certain ID requirements do, as well as discriminate against older and poorer folks generally.Biden and other Democrats have claimed for years that requiring voter ID, as outlined in the SAVE act discriminates against black people, hence his claim that it was Jim Crow 2.0.
What kind of ID are you referring to?Why do you think requiring all voters to present an ID discriminates against black people, so much so that it's equivalent to Jim Crow voting laws?
Be specific. What kind of ID?76% of black people and 81% of white people believe that voters should have to present an ID to vote.
Up to 69 million women in this country could be impacted by new ID requirements in the SAVE Act based on now having a married name that is not the same as their birth name.
Show me the alleged ‘illegal aliens are voting, and only for Democrats’ data that has affected any election result or that requires the new SAVE Act rules.

As DocCam clearly pointed out, that was an egregiously unfair and dishonest interpretation of what I said, which proves unequivocally that you are every bit as dishonest as we have accused Trump of being. I made it very clear that I approve of prosecuting any and all politicians who break our laws and violate our constitution no matter which political party to which they claim fealty, especially if they claim to be of the party I support, because they undermine the legitimacy and integrity of what my party claims to holds dear.ajax18 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 13, 2026 2:32 pmSo you only believe in democracy when the majority agrees with you? When the majority disagrees with you, that's no longer democracy, it's an authoritarian dictatorship, right? When your party is in the majority, you must preserve democracy at all costs. But when your party finds themselves in the minority, you must interfere in any and every way necessary to disenfranchise voters who don't make what you believe to be the right choice. Whether that's ballot harvesting, bankrupting their candidate and party with lawfare, denying 1st amendment rights to your political opponents, arresting and imprisoning anyone associated with the opposition campaign, or even killing them i.e. Charlie Kirk, Donald Trump assasination attempts, etc. I think we're starting to understand what the left means when they want to "save democracy."there is nothing surprising, sinister or scandalous about the fact that reasonable people whether on the left or otherwise would try mightily to keep him from running for reelection!
Which president does this quote belong to?

No one I know of is a more outstanding example of loving one's country only when one wins than Donald J. Trump!

But that's not what Biden nor Schumer was saying when they said that the Save Act was Jim Crow 2.0. They were saying that requiring voter ID discriminates against black people, not old people, not poor people, not even women who change their last name. Why black people and only black people? Are they somehow less capable of getting a voter ID than white people, Asian people, or Hispanic people? As far as I'm concerned if you can't provide a voter ID, than you probably shouldn't be voting.Certain ID requirements do, as well as discriminate against older and poorer folks generally.

ajax, I’m of the opinion that you’re a reasonably intelligent fellow, so you’re going to have a really hard time insisting that you don’t know that not mentioning the impact of something on one particular group - while highlighting the impact on another group - does not mean that other groups cannot be impacted or that the speaker is unaware of that possibility. You’re not trying to convince me of that, are you?ajax18 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 13, 2026 10:09 pmBut that's not what Biden nor Schumer was saying when they said that the Save Act was Jim Crow 2.0. And you’re also not trying to convince me that you’re unaware of the general data on the relationship between poverty and particular racial groups, are you? If so, here’s a reminder:
Both poverty and income strongly correlate with race in the United States. Among all racial groups, Black Americans are second most likely to experience poverty, with 21% living below the poverty threshold, following Native Americans at 25%. Black Americans in particular have only ten cents for every dollar in wealth that white families have.
https://endhomelessness.org/blog/homele ... nd-income/
And you’re not trying to obfuscate the issue by continually using the phrase ‘a voter ID’ - which could presently be something like a utility bill - with new requirements for a photo ID, which plenty of older folks or non-driving eligible voters don’t possess?
Last, you’re not trying to convince me that you’re not aware of the SAVE Act’s interesting and new requirements that your photo ID name may need to match your birth certificate name? Because that could be a bit of a problem for a whole lot of married women. The first version of the SAVE America Act included a provision that would have required voters to show documents such as a passport or birth certificate at the polls every time they vote. This might be addressed by the Senate, or the Senate may end up making that requirement part of the law. I’d wager that most of the women that you know in your life don’t have a passport. I’d wager that none of them have a birth certificate that has their married name on it. ; )

The voter ID issue. It's a move to slow or cancel the mid-terms.

SAVE Act requirements will be selectively enforced by the Administration, based on location (perceived possibility of a district swinging Democratic) and the voter’s skin color. ICE will be deployed to selective areas to ‘randomly’ (based on criteria given in my prior sentence) pull voters for document checks. The hope will be that some altercations will occur at Democratic-leaning polling stations, which will be used by the Administration to shut down those particular stations and disperse the voters, thereby disenfranchising entire blocks of voters who may be favoring Democratic candidates.Jersey Girl wrote: ↑Fri Feb 13, 2026 11:20 pmThe voter ID issue. I think the distinction you're looking for, and the way I should have stated it in the first place, is that ajax supports certain pedophiles getting away with their crimes. I'm not saying he's in the room cheering Trump on as he rapes a teenager, but he is willing to look the other way if it means more mistreatment of minorities.canpakes wrote: ↑Fri Feb 13, 2026 5:21 pmMy opinion is that the direct connection you’re stating here is premature. There may be some surefire evidence still to emerge that Trump has directly engaged in this but until that time there’s still a difference between ‘supports pedophilia’ merely for being a Trump supporter, and supporting pedophilia itself. I’m interpreting the difference to be (1) attempting to protect one’s ego after having linked their identity to Trump versus (2) actually engaging in the behavior or attempting to legally protect or promote it.Some Schmo wrote: ↑Fri Feb 13, 2026 5:34 amWe know beyond of a shadow of a doubt that ajax supports pedophilia, so all his BS about Jesus and his empty faith is as valuable as a bucket of slugs.
At this point, Trump and Bondi are arguably fighting hard to protect pedophiles, so the worst-case situation (2) is almost - but not quite - met.
Jersey Girl could probably pick this apart and explain it better.
The only time ajax and people like him give a damn about the morality of rape is if they can use it against a perceived enemy (evil Democrats, mostly). He's a piece of crap, and he's damned lucky hell is only in his imagination, because that idiot is a prime candidate.

It is blazing clear that the SAVE act if passed and signed into law will be selectively used to disenfranchise as many as possible voters, especially minority voters, who are least likely to vote Republican. Of course, Trump would like it even better if he could permanently do away with elections altogether so he and authoritarian Tyrants and oligarchs like him could remain in power for life.
