I agree, Res. I just haven't been able to decide yet if PG was suggesting that I'm playing the role of the "somebody [who] decides that they can do better all by themselves". I kinda like the idea of being a crackpot scientist, preferably without the narcissism, but perhaps this is hubris speaking.

So let me say, right off, that I dislike the term "tithing", because it sounds too much like it's a fixed 10% donation. However, since it's familiar, we can start off with 10, except that since I'm in Canada, USians need pay a 15% tax rate - a temporary solution under Section 122 of the 1974 Trade Act.

Oh, you want to know about doctrine & commandments? Since I'm new at this whole thing, I'm adopting Dudism as a temporary working model.
