What do you think of Trump's State of the Union address?

Post by Chap »

What did readers of this board think about Trump's address?

It was, of course, of record length. But from what I have seen it was mainly remarkable for its irrelevance to the concerns of ordinary Americans, who see the cost of daily life rising, despite all that Trump claims. Same thing for medical expenses, and energy costs. And of course the usual number of flat falsehoods - for instance, that that Iryna Zarutska was killed by an immigrant (actually the assassin was born and raised in North Carolina). and so on,

Anyway, he is your President, not mine. What do you think?

Trump did a masterful job of exposing just how insane you progressive idiots truly are! You guys are going get demolished in the midterms! You're in a suicide cult and Trump exposed that reality yesterday. y'all have gone so far left that Americans are finding it intolerable to be around progressives. You hate America, hate white people, and hate is your drug of choice. It hate, hate, hate, hate, and even more hate! That's progressivism and Trump is masterfully proving that. His speech was a lesson in how to expose cults!

I dropped in when he was ranting about stolen elections, then started ranting about transgenderism, and figured that I hadn’t missed anything. I went back to working on my project at that point.

I don’t know if we’ll ever elect someone more petty and vindictive, and so bent on being dishonest. I certainly hope not.

I couldn't be bothered to listen to the pedophile, but I'll take a guess at what he said: Everything is great, which is all because of him, except for the bad things, which is completely out of his control, because Democrats and brown people are evil. How'd I do?

Umm, did an 'r' creep in there by mistake? Otherwise I think your taste in male beauty is ... well, unusual!

Lol! Correction made.

There’s definitely nothing pretty about a pallid, bloated grifter sporting pounds of orange makeup and who has a history of fraud, groping random women, and shielding abusers from exposure and prosecution.

The vendors I buy parts from have begun putting the tariffs as a line item when you purchase from them.

I think Trump should get credit where credit is due. Let people know exactly how much he’s stealing from them.

I listened to a bit and decided to wait for summary. I did hear him say he was stopping states from tearing children from the arms of parents to change their sex.

Now my memory said states were not doing such a thing. I decided to ask Google about that and it repeated what I remember. States are not doing that though some have passed laws making parents who support a transgender change guilty of child abuse.

On the face of it it would be hard to understand why Trump said what he did. It sounds like extravagant fear agitation. Well it is easy to save us from things not happening and harder to address real problems.

I wouldn't listen to it because it's not the state of our union, it would be the state of mind of a moron. I'd rather not sign up for being pissed off at that moron again.
Religion is for people whose existential fear is greater than their common sense. It's also the favored cover for hypocrites.

The god idea is popular with desperate people.

You are 100% correct. Just the usual dangerous lies and fear-mongering from Trump, in order to keep the MAGA sheep in line.
