Another fundamental question is, why do we need the Book of Mormon? Christians go to heaven without the Book of Mormon.
I don't need the Book of Mormon or the Bible to "go to" heaven. I AM ever in my heaven living another lifetime on this beautiful planet until I've accomplished what I came here to do. Heaven *is* in my heart and mind. I AM heaven! That was correct knowledge taught by Jesus in sacred text which you seem to worship.

Some Christians simply love to threaten others who refuse to accept their faith, especially those who deny it. It's how they make themselves feel superior and more chosen than everyone else.
They have no problem threatening everyone as in "Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess."

I do not understand how this ugly event is related to polygamy. It is something condemned.
Polygamy was a common widespread social custom. I think it has negatives but still I hope Jacob and his wives enjoyed sex and were happy with children.
