What Democrats mean by saving democracy is that all voters either voluntarily or at gunpoint, accept and embrace the democratic socialist ideology. To me this sounds a lot more like an authoritarian dictatorship by Democrat party leaders, who will do anything and everything with no holds barred to gain and retain power. But to you, that's what democracy means.

I ran out of time finding the best examples, but google ICE arrests citizen despite them having passport or birth certificate and you'll get more than one example of ICE arresting people who literally have their papers on them.

If there is no law that entitles ICE to "to randomly pull people from polling lines, to check their citizenship papers", then you are not obliged to do anything to convince them that you should be allowed to vote.

No doubt ajax18 thinks that you should not assert your legal rights, and instead try to convince the ICE people to their satisfaction that you should be allowed to vote, and if they are not satisfied submit quietly when they drag you into a van.

Promises are a dime a dozen. Look at how many Trump has made that have never been fulfilled, and probably never will be. And he’s the President, whereas you’re complaining about random low-level pols who don’t possess the power to do what you claim they’re promising.

The riot and attempted insurrection attempt of Jan 6 of 2021 was precisely that -- namely Trump's attempt to overturn a fair and legitimate election that he lost. If Democrats were the ones inclined to behave that way, they would have done so in 2025. Instead, they lawfully, though unhappily, accepted the 2024 election results.
