Revelation 22:14
14 “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. 15 Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
That doesn’t say “unrepentent lgbtq people go to hell when they die.” Which is a really oversimplified—and frankly misleading—claim, that you cannot support.
First, the Bible doesn’t actually say “gay people go to hell.” That exact idea isn’t stated anywhere. What is in the text are a handful of disputed passages, written in ancient languages, in very different cultural contexts, that scholars have been debating for centuries. Translating those into a blanket statement about modern LGBTQ+ people is a huge leap.
Second, if someone wants to argue that any sin sends people to hell, then they have to apply that standard consistently. The Bible lists all kinds of things—greed, divorce, dishonesty, arrogance—right alongside sexual behavior. Singling out gay people while ignoring everything else is selective and hypocritical.
Third, the core message of Christianity, according to Jesus, is about love, compassion, and humility—not condemning entire groups of people. So using religion as a weapon against others says more about the person making the claim (you) than it does about the Bible.
If you’re going to make a serious theological argument, it needs nuance, context, and consistency—not a one-line judgment. Please put some more thought and research into what you’re saying and stop splattering the board with obnoxious claptrap.
