Hey Don, what's the king's name in Facsimile No. 3? Speak up, I can't hear you?

Baptizing people into your cult is disgusting. You liar!

The Cavalry
A group for LDS missionaries dedicated to defending the faith. We focus on teaching missionaries how to deal with hard questions and gain mature testimonies. Here, you can:
- Ask doctrinal questions, D&C 88:77 "you shall teach one another the doctrine of the kingdom"
- Ask for references and documentation of certain doctrines and beliefs
ANSWER ALL ENTRY QUESTIONS OR YOU WILL NOT BE ADMITTED!
(If you are a General Authority, please reach out to one of the moderators)
This group is not meant to arm missionaries with Bible verses which they can take with them to a bash, but rather give missionaries the doctrinal and historical knowledge to defend their beliefs, and learn how to best interact with members of other faiths. Be sure to check out the files section for lots of excellent resources.
We are not here to bash. We are here to fulfill the commandment given in the Doctrine and Covenants Section 43:8 "that when ye are assembled together ye shall instruct and edify each other, that ye may know how to act". Be sure to attend our weekly zoom discussions in which we often have scholars in attendance. These are great opportunities to pick their brains and take notes!
What a shame that Don and Co lack the courage of their convictions. They want to hide in the shadows and leave young missionaries doing the debating. If they've got good objective evidentiary answers to difficult answers, then why aren't they out there themselves online fighting that good fight. Don Bradley shrunk away from here like a coward. The Cavalry hide behind Mummies petticoat and tell others to do the fighting. Cowards.
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

I think it's funny how they seemingly don't want the GAs poking around, "if you are a GA contact a moderator". So clearly this is not sanctioned, or not really sanctioned by anyone with the authority. Reading the online rules for missionaries it seems any "help" from home should only be done at the approval of the mission president, I wonder how many MPs are wise to Calvary Facebook Group.

The other way of interpreting that, is that GA’s have been going to “The Cavalry” looking for answers themselves, for difficult questions they’ve got, or they’ve been asked but cannot answer.

The Cavalry (Dummies for Missionaries) with drippy apologists like Bradley & Smoot defend FALSE HISTORY contained in the silly Book of Abraham which features idiotic explanations that make a solid mockery of sacred Egyptian iconography! For shame!

Baby-boy Smoot (below) is the mummy to the far right. He thinks he's so damn smart. But he's so damn stupid!

I'd like to test that theory:

What's King Pharaoh's name in Facsimile No. 3 and how do you spell "Shulem" with Egyptian characters? Who, according to Joseph Smith, was the first king of Egypt when the country was first formed in 2300 BC?

And that's just for starters!

Yeah, Bradley is a coward. And, Smoot is a dummy.

of course get the content without having to be in the group and seen by all the missionaries. I didn't think about this angle. Which just shows that if apologists really had the answers why aren't they GAs, and why would the guys with the mantle and supposed direct line to Jesus need the apologists to help them out?

Cause it's all made up and not internally consistent with their own doctrine.

“Today, the Church disavows the theories advanced in the past that black skin is a sign of divine disfavor or curse.”
And, someday:
  1. Today, the Church disavows the theories that assumed the Book of Abraham is a literal historical account of how Egypt was first established.
  2. Today, the Church disavows theories about the Explanations of the Facsimiles being literal Egyptian translations rather than the Lord's inspired way of teachings truths using ancient props as visual aids.
  3. Today, the Church disavows the writings of Hugh Nibley and Don Bradley as men who expressed their own scholarly ideas and opinions.
Just for fun and for the record book:

Don,

For the record, as of today, when this thread was first posted, exactly 512 days have passed.

Don Bradley really is a coward.

I'm so disappointed in him.

Jehovah Witness doctrine of black people reminds me of Mormonism:

Click The JW Circus video link for a good laugh:

BLACK PEOPLE WILL BE WHITE

And delightsome, just like Don Bradley!

8 or 9? 8.9? Bah!

You've found a place on the printing plate where a chiseled-away snout is visibly present. And it has visible fangs. And the appropriate ear has always been present. And the snout was, from an egyptological perspective, always to be expected.

That's a 10. Or, if we're being cautious, a 9.99.

Bravo, Shulem, on the brilliant discovery!

Don
Let's be very clear that Don Bradley can be quite reasonable and in the case of the missing jackal head is spot on, perfect.

IN MEMORY OF THE BLACK GOD (ANUBIS) MUTILATED BY SMITH BEFORE OUR VERY EYES:

Don Bradley wrote:However, despite their genetic and geographical isolation
Using the word "genetic" affirms that it's actual skin color (pigment) rather than the manual application of body paint in order to fulfill the curse. Although the latter was a practice/custom just as it was with American Indian face paint, it's clear that genetics was the catalyst in visually manifesting the curse so everyone could tell the difference between a light-skinned Nephite and a dark-skinned Lamanite. If the curse was not "genetic" then people would not be able to tell the difference between the inhabitants of the land. That is why Nephi (Joseph Smith) says their skins were darkened by God's power.

I think it's abundantly clear that the Book of Mormon, like the Bible, is RACIST to the core.

So, Don, put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Even today, cringy racism is alive and well in Mormonism and was manifest by the the Spirit® under the direction of a General Authority who happened to be a former missionary companion to RFM.

Does Don Bradley approve of this crap?
Elder McKay, General Authority Seventy, Church Historian and Recorder, Stake Conference, Oklahoma, June 2026 wrote: Mormon Discussion Inc.

I've been so moved by what has been said and by what the Lord has been telling me. I hope that his Spirit may continue and that I won't get in the way of whatever God is trying to teach you.

(Please click the link above that will take you directly to what this clown of a General Authority said to the Oklahoma saints!)
How many of the saints in the Oklahoma congregation said, "Amen" after the talk? What about Don Bradley? Imagine what creepy and racist General Authorities say behind closed doors.

Fresh off the press

Nemo the Mormon posted a short video clip of the racial gaffe of elder Dumbass:

..."white people try to sing like black people"...

I think what elder McKay may be internally implying is that black people should try to sing like white & delightsome people and drag themselves out of black negro culture in which they are enslaved.

:!: :o

Sorry. It needed to be said. McKay made a real fool of himself because that is what he is!

RFM, Bill, and Rebecca did a video. (Coincidentally and unrelatedly, McKay was RFM's missionary companion for a while in Japan.)

I couldn't stop laughing for five minutes when I heard McKay open his mouth and put his shoe right in it. He surely didn't intend to be insulting but how clueless can ya be in 2026? This reveals a very closed-off fishbowl these Mormon leaders apparently swim in.
