Stop flirting you two, and get a room
Enough of the innuendo, IHQ - Gad & I are discussing spiritual "things of the kingdom", if you don't mind :)
Apologies, feel free to continue comparing endowments with Gad…
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

Time for this again, I think:

Seems like the “spiritual” part needed the arm of the flesh to help manufacture enthusiasm, while the love of pizza came naturally.

That is true. Only God can. And not just ANY god...

That's where things get rather messy, right? ;)

The Book of Mormon makes it rather clear that we should not trust in the "arm of the flesh".

MG
People have a funny way of identifying all kinds of things as divine messages. Messy, right?

Funny how it is always other people "trusting in the arm of the flesh", following false prophets, or relying on private interpretations of scripture.

Just a point of interest. If you type in "plates" to the search bar at the top of this page there are 585 pages of discussion history on this board on this topic.

I know that for some that's a big "so what" and "don't you have anything to add?"

Well, I did, along with others on those 585 pages. I think pious fraud may have come up a few times also. Isn't it interesting how the same sorts of things are recycled year after year...maybe with a touch of make up/shadow added on here and there.

Rehash after rehash...with respect to those that are in the business of doing so.

Regards,
MG
Who cares? Smith didn't even use the plates so they are meaningless in the real story of Mormonism.

Yep! It's pretty noticeable. And annoying.
