Blake Ostler is pro Trump? Am I reading that right Kish?
I may have that wrong. Sometimes it is difficult to tell with him, since he will argue with anyone about anything at any time, and I have seen him argue points in a way that would lead one to think he must support MAGA.

Honestly, I got so tired of him that I just blocked him on Facebook so I wouldn't have to see his incessant, tedious posturing invade discussions in unproductive and annoying ways. I will never forget when he presumed to tell me about Roman marriage, when he was completely wrong about it. I had just spent a semester teaching the Roman family and had digested quite a bit of scholarship on Roman marriage.

That was the final straw. He is yet another fine example of Socrates' warning regarding experts. Once they believe they are good at one thing, they presume to present themselves as general experts on everything, and other fools seem only too happy to receive their ignorant blovations as gospel.

Ha, ha. I myself have fallen for that, both with me being the poser, and following other posers who I later found out was a rather shallow thing. The perils of life, eh? Good to see you out and about old friend!

Well, Philo, you are a congenial person with a realistic sense of your own strengths and limitations. You approach the world with humility and insatiable curiosity. Ostler's posture does not resemble in the slightest your very human and sympathetic style of approaching the world.

Good to interact with you again, friend!
