Thank you for your work on this, Tom. I am happy to find that the article was not as derisive toward the temple president as we were led to believe.
Yes, it appears the rumors of its derisiveness were greatly exaggerated, and by exaggerated, I mean completely fabricated by the Afore.

Tom,

The local Parowan underground grapevine is buzzing with concern for the Afore's health. A local widow recently mentioned in fast and testimony meeting that his refusal to let go of these imaginary grievances is reaching a medical tipping point. The Afore is sacrificing his health by holding on to a 5 decade old grudge against parts of a student newspaper article that didn't even happen. Imagine nursing a fifty-year grudge against a story that literally never occurred.

It takes a special kind of narcissistic ego to maintain a 50-year war with a fictional ghost. The Afore’s ability to remain enraged by a half-century-old fiction would be impressive if it weren't so pathologically ridiculous. I join with the Parowan widows in their concern for the Afore's health. I hope and pray the Afore can let go of these fictional grudges he has been nursing for over 5 decades.

Thank you for your report, Everybody Wang Chung. I understand that the good widows of the Parowan First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, Ninth, Tenth, Eleventh, Twelfth, Thirteenth, Fourteenth, Fifteenth, Sixteenth, Seventeenth, Eighteenth, Nineteenth, Twentieth, Twenty-First, Twenty-Second, Twenty-Third, Twenty-Fourth, Twenty-Fifth, Twenty-Sixth, Twenty-Seventh, Twenty-Eighth, Twenty-Ninth, and Thirtieth Wards are uniting in fasting and prayer on Sunday, May 3, to soften the Afore’s misplaced wrath toward Mr. Lang’s article.

The Afore has made a career out of winning battles against people who were blissfully unaware they were even in a conflict. And now, not happy with winning against the dead and people to whom he gives no right of reply and who remain oblivious to his strawman antics or even who he is, he’s now winning imagined wars against imagined offences, by imagined combatants. He’s gone full Trump.

Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.
