Hoping Rivendale catches this Moon-Jupiter-Venus alignment on camera and shares the pics!

My guess is that Rivendale holds membership in an astronomical society and follows more intently than I do. I'd kill for the set up Rivendale has and the ability to use it. I've been to star parties and it's so cool!

On a clear night, the Big Dipper is framed by the pines on our property out the back door. I used to be able to see the Milky Way but I think the lights from town are coming too close now. Saw the Northern Lights just once on a winter's night...all lime green. My favorite is the meteor showers and I watch the moon phases like it's my job.

When I see an event coming up I'll often post about it here in case anyone is interested. One night I saw a Starlink train so I had to go learn about that. I have a link for the Starlink locator, too.

FYI: I'm not going to use the source of those images any longer. I have reason to believe it's unreliable. The other night there was a new image that mentioned the "thin crescent moon" when the moon was (I think) half at the time, now waxing gibbous.

This is what happens when someone with the smarts of a 3rd grader tries to do something nice around here.
