What do you think MAGA folks? Are you excited for the child rapists, sexual predators, and murderers that Trump pardoned and unleashed on society to now have access to a financial windfall?
What makes you think any of the January 6 rioters will be given any of the $1.7 billion Trump won?
Why ask that question?

Because it's absurd to think he'd give any of his own money away.

The title of this thread misstates the situation: it isn't Trump's money free-and-clear. Rather, the settlement establishes a $1.8B “Anti-Weaponization Fund” intended to compensate folks based on claims they were mistreated by the government. While Trump could eventually tap into this fund, pardoned January 6 rioters are generally considered to be well-positioned to benefit from it (should it survive legal challenges).

Ahh, that makes much more sense. Thank you.

Isn't the "lifetime immunity" about the deal he has done to shield the tax affairs of himself, his family and any companies they have set up from any scrutiny or prosecutions possibly resulting therefrom?

That is my understanding, yes. The whole thing is bonkers.

And Trump supporters like Ajax have willfully blinded themselves to how bonkers and inherently corrupt and immoral it is! How can anyone supposedly intelligent enough to be a fully competent and successful optometrist possibly do something so abysmally stupid? It thoroughly blows my mind!

Trump Post Insane Death Threat As Republican Costs Him Senate

This is getting scarier and scarier. Trump is threatening to kill any Republicans (and probably anyone else) who opposes him politically, and there is increasingly good reason to fear that this threat is more than just metaphorical. He has already demonstrated that he is only interested in appointing, supporting and hiring people who are uncompromisingly loyal only to himself, like Hegseth, who seems hellbent on demoting or dismissing any military leaders and personnel who are not similarly loyal to Trump. Given this fact and his belief that he is entitled to absolute immunity and pardon powers, what remains to prevent him from ordering his military loyalists to assassinate any political opponents, regardless of election results, and then unconditionally pardon anyone following such orders? I can't help fearing that he is narcissistically insane enough to believe that he has acquired enough power and a large enough fanatically loyal following to be able to get away with this with complete or nearly complete impunity.

That's probably why he seems so indifferent to what the polls are showing about his continually decreasing popularity and increasing job disapproval rating. If he doesn't succeed in dishonestly rigging the elections in his own favor, he will loudly scream that his opponents did so while claiming the mere fact that he lost as incontestable proof that they did, especially if they won by a large margin.

Does anyone think...that he's acting crazy so they 25th amendment him so...when he's charged with one or more crimes he can plead insanity?
