Religion is for people whose existential fear is greater than their common sense. It's also the favored cover for hypocrites.

'Unhinged!': Trump spends hundreds of millions on 'personal' battle against US wind farmsGunnar wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2026 5:43 amExcellent additional points! Thanks!canpakes wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2026 4:29 amAppreciating that alternative energy choices are available is not the same as actively trying to squelch alternatives while making the only remaining choice 50% more expensive, as Trump has.
Complaining about gasoline prices when Trump was out of office has been MAGA’s hobby, along with bitching about EVs, bicycles and public transportation, in between thinking that rolling coal on cyclists and Prius owners is somehow a measure of manhood.
More of Trump's insane vendetta against wind energy because his feelings were hurt by the UK refusing to halt an offshore wind farm project that would be seen from one of his golf courses. Not only is his stupid vendetta being funded by American taxpayers, but it will also result in higher energy costs for all Americans. Do any of you still believe that Trump cares for anything other than what he thinks will benefit him and his billionaire donors and friends? The Trump administration is set to pay $765 million to end four wind projects, adding to the staggering total President Trump has spent to roll back green wind energy projects. Bloomberg Opinion Senior Executive Editor and MS NOW Political Analyst Tim O’Brien joins Alex Witt to break down this seemingly personal battle and more.
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

I appreciate your perspective as a retired MSG and think that’s a fair expectation.Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Sat Jun 20, 2026 2:30 pmIt’s tricky for service personnel, for sure. I’m a retired MSG with some overseas experience and, you’re correct in that most of us can’t opt out from mission sets or wars, aside from obvious situations like My Lai. Officers have more leeway, and so I expect them to exercise all options before participating in something they believe is immoral, such as the attack and war on Iran.

Never have we not won a war so many times that we have already won so many times this year alone.

Trump is a loser. He's lost so much that he thinks losing is winning. He's damned retarded like his voters.
If all that ever comes out of your mouth is what you wish was true, you're a damned loser. That's Trump.

Iran won:

The President of the United States of America tucked tail and stuffed himself into a food cart because he was afraid of the Iranians.
This is the most pathetic thing I’ve ever seen a President do. Story here:

Hiring a part-time news entertainment anchor as SecDef, what could go wrong?

This is obviously an artificially enhanced photo, given that Trump does not know how to operate a flashlight.Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Wed Aug 12, 2026 2:55 pmIran won:

Yeah, but to counter that, there IS a lot of McDonalds French Fries in there, his favorite health food, so this could be authentic after all......canpakes wrote: ↑Wed Aug 12, 2026 3:21 pmThis is obviously an artificially enhanced photo, given that Trump does not know how to operate a flashlight.Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Wed Aug 12, 2026 2:55 pmIran won:

Nope. They’re not all eaten. That would definitely not be the case if Trump had spent any time hovering over them. : DPhilo Sofee wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2026 2:59 amYeah, but to counter that, there IS a lot of McDonalds French Fries in there, his favorite health food, so this could be authentic after all......

What is up with the USS Abraham Lincoln? She's one of ten Nimitz-class aircraft carriers and has been in service for nearly forty years, so the US Navy should know how to operate her. Plus she's one of ten Nimitz-class aircraft carriers in the US Navy. This is the organisation that is supposed to be able to project power around the globe, and these are the units that are supposed to do the projecting. You'd think that the entire resources of a superpower would be deployed to keep the USS AL going properly, or else that the admirals would long since have swapped it out for another of the eleven US carriers, for maintenance and to rest the crew.
Keeping its soldiers and sailors well supplied with food and amenities has been a hallmark of the US military since at least World War II. Heroic endurance on starvation rations was for other people; American forces always had an unusually large rear-echelon component that reliably delivered supplies and comforts in quantities that amazed their enemies. Those enemies only wished that this was because Americans were soft; everyone can be tough if they have to be, but people who are better supplied can fight better. The scale and effectiveness of the American military supply and maintenance system was an advantage that won battles and wars.
Now there are reports that the crew of an American aircraft carrier have been short of food. Leaders back in Washington deny the claims, but not with livestreams from happy sailors on the Abraham Lincoln chowing down on a feast, or even with video testimony from Navy moms saying they'd just heard from their sons about how great the food is. What is going on? Has the US Navy fallen apart?
