Since you brought up Ajax18 in your opening post, I went back and looked at Ajax18 post history from November 2nd to November 16th. I don't know if I found all the insults but Ajax was personally attacked at least 19 times in that period. Here's six insults directed at Ajax

The insults only get worse as time goes on and three long time posters here grow comfortable insulting him almost on a daily basis.

Dr shades, since the day you started this thread, I can't find where Ajax18 has been personally insulted one time after posting. Thank you for moderating by starting a thread called "Be careful for what you wish for." It seemed to get the point across perfectly. Yet another example why you're the gold standard when it comes to moderating, thank you sir! In my opinion spirit paradise is in better shape now then it was 2 months ago. Great job sir!!

LOL, sure we can all play Humpty Dumpy with words, but posting about calling for moderators is not “moderating” the board in any sense. On this board moderating has had a specific, clear meaning — enforcing the rules as written. You just gathered the evidence against your own point: how many of the 19 personal attacks you found were moved from Paradise to Prison? It looks to me like in the entire time be the board has been in existence, exactly one thread has been moved from Paradise to Prison. None of the parade of horribles you and New Kid have been waving around we’re ever moved. In fact, New Kid has violated the rules many times right here in this thread. Have any of his posts been moved?

And your data is going to be skewed anyway by the fact that Icarus, one of the most frequent violators of the civility rules recently quit the board. So, you’re gonna have to correct for that if you want to make a valid comparison.

Shades isn’t enforcing his own rules. If he isn’t going to enforce the rule, I suggest he relabel the civility and derail rules as “suggestions” enforceable only by occasional gentle scolding. That way, at least folks here know where things stand.

Icarus liked to attack posters who didn't think like him. He called them names and insulted almost on a daily basis. When someone came along and used his tactics against him, he became upset and scurried away.

Icarus, if you're reading this, c'mon back dude! Everything has calmed down. Dr Shades has done a wonderful job at moderating spirit paradise. The past few days everyone is getting along and posting like we are actually adults. I miss you.
