Ah the conspiracy theories come out. Based on some supposed expert who expresses subjective experience and probable bias as reason to dismiss facts you don't like. Perfect way to keep believing falsehoods. A vaccine with high 90% effectiveness still has 10% that can get the virus. That's still a large group, and it's a group that will be very over represented by elderly and immune compromised.ajax18 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 15, 2021 10:19 pmI've been talking to a ward friend who manages a hospital. I'm starting to doubt the effectiveness of these vaccines. He also confirmed to me that we don't have the access to the real data on COVID. He has his own didactic experience in the ICU and what percentage are vaccinated or not to draw from. I do know of several people in my ward who have gotten sick with COVID after being vaccinated. A couple of the older ones are looking at kidney failure and death.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

So he deserved to die? The family should just suck it because you believe he was a criminal?
Well then, a cop should lean on your neck for 9 minutes and squeeze the life out of you, and your family should get nothing, because you're just a career criminal who makes a habit of resisting arrest and fighting the cops. See how easy it is to accuse people of crap?
damned douche.

No need to wish for it. That's what already happens with most white people who are killed by the police.Well then, a cop should lean on your neck for 9 minutes and squeeze the life out of you, and your family should get nothing,
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

Here’s a fellow who wasn’t quite killed, just paralyzed. He received $10 million.

I'm not wishing for it. I'm just saying that if you're the victim of wrongful death by a gov't employee, you're family should receive nothing. They shouldn't even sue. They should just walk it off. We'd hate for tax payers to fund your family's windfall.

It’s also what happens with most black people who are killed by police, oh seething ball of racial resentment.

How is this the taxpayers fault? Why does this man deserve any more than any other citizen who is shot and paralyzed by an every day criminal?canpakes wrote: ↑Mon Aug 16, 2021 6:36 pmHere’s a fellow who wasn’t quite killed, just paralyzed. He received $10 million.

He doesn't. He was simply "lucky" enough to be permanently injured by the employee of a solvent defendant. Or, more likely, one that had insurance or was part of governmental entity risk pool.ajax18 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 16, 2021 8:14 pmHow is this the taxpayers fault? I’m not commenting on the value or it it was deserved. Just noting that some white folks appear to be compensated by the powers that be when their lives have been threatened by police. You seemed skeptical of that possibility.ajax18 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 16, 2021 8:14 pmHow is this the taxpayers fault?
