Back when my wife and I first got married I switched to her ward because we rented an apartment in her ward boundary. After like 6 or 7 weeks the bishop came up to us and asked if we could sit in the back of the chapel instead of the front because so many women were constantly staring at me. Mike is a roofer armed only with a hammer, so everything he sees is a nail. (Pro-tip: that is not a claim that roofers only use hammers or even use hammers for a majority of what they do. It's a tongue in cheek analogy.) He tries to turn moderation into a political issue, not understanding that moderation has been used here for years and that disagreements about moderation have not fallen along political lines. He doesn't even understand the politics of the people he interacts with. He just labels everyone he disagrees with a "progressive," which is hilarious to watch.
It's very simple to understand why Cultellus and Mike are so opposed to moderation: if the rules that we have (which have been basically the same for over a decade) are actually enforced (like there have been for over a decade), they can't disrupt every single discussion on the board with their trolling. Their whole strategy is a "protection racket" -- if you don't behave the way we want you to behave, we'll disrupt your board until you all quit.
