Joe Biden has already contacted foreign agents. Has he violated the same Logan act he suggested be used to pursue a case against his political enemy General Flynn.
You failed to mention Benghazi.

Or the fact that Flynn was arrested not because he spoke with foreign agents, but because he lied about it when asked.

I wonder if ajax ever went on a mission. If so, he had to be terrible. I'm basing that on the horrendous mission work he's doing here to try to convert people to his current cult of idiocy.

It's pretty remarkable how stupid Trump fans sound without seeming to realize it. It's surreal. I mean, I don't know about anyone else, but I always review my posts before submitting them. Do Trump fans not do that? Because, if I were to write and then read back the kinds of nonsense they post on the regular, I would feel compelled to edit those posts first so I didn't sound like such a moron.

I guess they just can't be bothered.

That's Jake Sullivan, Biden's proposed new cabinet member. It's probably a reward for his tireless work purging incriminating government documents the weekend after Sep. 11, 2012 when Benghzi occurred.

The FBI had no cause to continue the investigation in the first place, other than the Logan Act as Biden suggested. They had no reason to send agents to ask Flynn about anything, much less lie to him and say he didn't need a lawyer present.

You know this was a political hit job to try to get to Trump. You're fine with that, I know. You're bound to no principles other than wining and getting your way. If you thought for one second your side wouldn't win, you'd gladly participate in any kind of voter fraud scheme possible and suffer not one pang of guilt for it. And there's plenty of ways to do it and get away with it if you've got the money and enough like minded people in government positions to do it.

Did the FBI tell him it was OK for him to lie to them? Or is the suggestion that General Flynn, poor naïve guy, was simply unaware that he should not lie to the FBI, because he had no-one to tell him that this was not a good idea?

More likely, I suggest, was that he thought "Well, if I tell a lie and as a result end up taking one for the President, he's bound to pardon me in the end ... so why not?"

ajax, I guess that I’m happy for your now laser-focused observation on potential conflicts of interest within the incoming Administration, as opposed to having ignored anything like that in the previous four years.

And, Happy Thanksgiving!

For a board who constantly bemoans the excess amount of incarcerations in the for profit prisons in this country, I have hard time seeing anything other than nasty vengeful politics being the motive of judges like Emmitt Sulilivan to put Flynn in jail. They already bankrupted him over the past four years in legal fees.

Exactly what kind of danger to society is General Flynn? Yes he did break the Logan Act. So he lied to the FBI. I just showed you a video of McCabe perjuring himself to Congress to save his team from the crimes they committed in this political fight.

Oh. Ok. I guess a retired General with the highest clearance and access to intelligence assets acting as a foreign agent and lying about it is cool. Like. Whatevs, right?

In accepting a pardon, he admits his crime. A pardoned Flynn cannot use the 5th Amendment to refuse to testify, and any false statement he makes will open him to additional perjury charges.
