Haunted Asylum Adventure
Northern State Hospital in Sedro-Woolley, Washington was a mental institution that operated from early 1900s until the 1970s, when it was closed down and locked up tight from the public.
In the 1990s, the local port authority acquired part of the property. The buildings that housed patients that didn’t need to be locked up were renovated and leased to businesses. A large portion of the main ground is leased to the Federal Government, which uses it as a Job Corps College campus. But the old hospital buildings remain locked up tight and may never be renovated or reopened.
The grounds were huge. The old on-site farm, orchard, and cider are part of a large county park. None of the out buildings have been maintained and are in various stages of decay and deterioration.
Many visitors have reported seeing the ghostly figure of a young girl bouncing a red rubber ball, with the figure of an adult nearby.
Abandoned asylum. Decrepit buildings to crawl through. A ghostly apparition. What’s not to like?
So I went. Come with me to see what I saw. And keep an eye out for a bouncing red ball….

Res,
In Utah there is a tour company called Grimm Ghost Tours. They take groups of people to "haunted" locations all over Utah. https://grimmghosttours.com/buytickets.html
A few years back, I took a couple of my kids to a midnight ghost tour of an abandoned asylum in Tooele, UT. It was kind of a dud, but learning about the asylum's history was fun.
They gave us all these portable hand held electronic sensors that were supposed to blink red when a ghost was near. Mine never went off, but everyone else's went off constantly.
On our way back home, one of my kids said, "dad, the reason your ghost sensor never went off was because you have the priesthood and ghosts would not come near you."
Sigh. The indoctrination is strong with my children.

LOL! That is awesome. I could have used one of those ghost sensors. I’m sure whatever priesthood protection I had is long gone.Everybody Wang Chung wrote: ↑Mon Aug 30, 2021 3:23 amRes,

Re: Haunted Asylum Adventure

After a while I got a creepy feeling that someone was watching me. Time to get out of this creepy cow house!
