1. Guns don't simply "kill", they PROTECT Life... If you were actually "pro-life" you would be FOR guns.
I can prove it too...

- You see, with Leftist brainwashing they aren't told certain important Facts about guns. For example.
It is estimated (stats in an Obama CDC study and others) that at the most "minimum" 200,000 LIVES are Saved by guns every year in the U.S., and that's NOT including "all estimated self-defense occurrences" with a gun, just when a likely LIFE was saved.
In contrast, some 10,000 Homicides occur by gun in the U.S.

- There is not ONE place on the planet that has instituted gun bans/control in which "overall death rates" have gone down (save warzones).
Even often "gun deaths" don't even go down such as the UK and Australia. Australian gun deaths went down after their ban at the EXACT RATE for both suicide and homicide that they were going down for the prior 15 YEARS to the ban. In other words, statistically, the gun ban did nothing to reduce gun deaths. All gun bans do it kill the innocent, and leave bad guys alive to do more harm.

- In the U.S., the areas of the country that have VASTLY the most amount of guns, somehow have VASTLY the least amount of gun deaths.
In contrast, the areas which have the MOST gun control, AND least amount of guns, have the MOST gun deaths. This means that it's NOT "guns" which are the actual problem, it's something else.

There are MORE gun facts that I could show you which Leftists don't know because they are brainwashed with propaganda, that causes the Leftist to make an EVIL judgement, one which infringes on a man's, BASIC HUMAN RIGHT, to the Right to LIFE. That includes a Woman's Right, to protect herself from a physically superior man, to "equalize" that force. Now, ask yourself, why do Leftists choose to infringe on the human rights of BOTH man and woman?

2. Then you're NOT "following the actual science", you're again following Propaganda LIES...

The actual science says:
- That ONLY those who are over 40 and have at least ONE serious Comorbidity "should" likely get the Vaccine. 99% who die from Covid have at least One Comorbidy and 94% have TWO or more, and 30% of those who die from Covid are Obese, it is in fact the PRIMARY comorbidity for death from covid.

- Those who are physically healthy, not obese, especially under 40 have a near ZERO likelihood of death from covid.

- Those 18 and Under are NOT "at-risk" of death from the virus... they are 10 TIMES more likely to die from the FLU, in contrast to Covid.
In fact, in the last Year and a Half, 360 have died from Covid, compared to a normal Flu season 1,500 die from the FLU within a YEAR.

- When you take the Vaccine, you're getting the Virus, and you in fact ARE able to spread the Virus when Vaccinated, just as much as someone who isn't vaccinated but is immune or otherwise. Thus, it doesn't matter if EVERYONE is vaccinated, the virus IS still spread. We know this from several examples, such as the Democrat Texas Plane, Israel and Ireland (50% of their hospitalizations are ALL vaccinated people). Israel for example is the most vaccinated country, thus they have the best numbers on this subject.

- Dr. Fauci himself said that the SYMPTOMATIC are who primarily "drive" a virus pandemic, that NEVER in history has the Asymptomatic driven one. As he also said, that's not to say a person "can't ever" get infected by an asymptomatic person, just that it's rare and doesn't actually "drive" a pandemic, and again, NEVER has it done so. So, this idea of people "needing" to wear masks or get vaccinated "simply" because they are around other people is a BIG LIE... If you're sick, you stay home, and you're less likely to spread the virus.

- Last of all, the science says that like with Antibiotics, it's actually very BAD to get a Vaccine when you don't actually "need" to take it, for example when you're IMMUNE and NOT in a risk-group. Two of the reasons for this is because you end up creating Variants, and also WORSE Variants, as well, you end up DESTROYING your OWN Immunity, because natural immunity is always FAR more effective, and is also better at adapting to variants, while the Vaccine is focused just on ONE variant.

This is an important point also as mentioned above... IF the "experts" were "following the science" they would be talking about the above issues, especially the fact that the IMMUNE and NOT-AT-RISK don't need to, and in fact SHOULD'New Testament take the vaccine.
This is all the science... This is NOT being "anti-vaccine"... This is following the actual science, rather than again, Leftist propaganda lies...

Nobody is saying Covid isn't an issue, but after a couple of months, once we understood the basics of the virus, ONLY the "at-risk" should have been protected (the Elderly and those with Comorbidities), and everyone else goes on with their lives. We should have mandated a 3-month Lockdown, in which ALL "bills" are paused, so the Renter nor the Landlord is hurt, for example, so nobody is hurt, just essential services remain open. Then everything is opened again, bills start again after two months, and the systems have been put in place to protect the at-risk, and there are a LOT less lives destroyed, no suicides, no infant deaths (for example 260,000 dead infants because of lockdowns over normal worldwide), no businesses destroyed, and on and on.

Never in history have we even for FAR WORSE contagions have the "healthy" been Quarantined... Medical professionals were not stupid before... The difference today is Leftists dominate in Science and Politics, and they have "politicized" it in order to give themselves more power by destroying Capitalism, and that is done by destroying lives, whether it's causing a President to not get elected who is pro-American, Covid Lockdowns, preventing 3rd world country's from developing their resources because of the Climate LIE, importing massive amounts of Illegals from the southern border, most of which will vote Democrat, when even Democrats used to believe in protecting borders, etc.

It is NOT an accident, and there was no "new science" that said the "types" of masks we all wear were all of a sudden "effective". Dr. Frauci, the CDC, and the WHO ALL said masks were NOT effective initially, because that WAS the well-established science, for Covid viruses as well. Virology science has been LONG established... But when it became clear they could use the virus to further their goals for power, they all of a sudden "changed their minds".

The standard medical mask people wear ONLY has 10% effectiveness against the virus. That effectiveness is entirely eradicated by continued use, touching the mask, etc. Fauci even said this... It's like throwing dirt through a chain-linked fence. Sure, you might stop a few particles of dirt, but the dirt IS getting through. Then you have Cloth masks which have ZERO effectiveness. ONLY N95 masks and higher have "some" degree of actual effectiveness, but even they are flawed at around 50%, and nobody was wearing those masks or stronger.

So, OP... You've made some wishes, which you haven't "backed up" with actual FACTS.

I can't help getting the disheartening and growing feeling that for hard right, conservative Trumpist types, their interpretation of the 2nd Amendment is gradually devolving into the idea that it somehow gives them the right shoot or threaten to shoot anyone with whom they have a political disagreement, or to attempt violent overthrow of election results they don't like, regardless of clear desires of the majority of the electorate.

I haven’t run into anyone quite that extreme, although I had some eye-opening conversations with some paleo-libertarians at the start of the pandemic.

I think the folks you are describing have been fed a steady diet of fear, anger, and resentment for lots of years now. Lots of folks made bank fueling those emotions, but they’ll never have to pay the price. Under those conditions it’s not hard to convince people that armed resistance is justified, if not necessary. But I haven’t personally encountered folks who viewed guns as a legitimate method of resolving a political argument.
