Yep. I mean, this is a guy that tried to set up a post-divorce living arrangement where he could still be with his kids by living in the house with his ex as roommates. If I recall correctly, the reason it didn't work out was the church did not approve. I'm heartened to hear that he has maintained a relationship with his kids and hope that he is able to stay close with them.
I don't have a lot of empathy for folks who air out their personal marital stuff on the web mainly because we're expected to make a judgment about them based on only one side of the story. Imagine what his ex might say if she were here. Would you be shocked to learn that virtually everything he's claimed is false? If his political/religious posts are a indicator of his grasp on reality, then I wouldn't be surprised.
I don't think anything I said has anything to do with taking his side or his wife's. What he described was an agreement between him and his ex that would have allowed him to live in the house. There's no "sides" to take. He doesn't blame his wife for it not working out, to the best of my recollection. He blames the church. (If I'm misremembering, Lee, please correct me.)

I don't really try to empathize. I think more about compassion. Having gone through a pretty rough divorce, I feel compassion for the adults and children that are going through that process. Especially the children. Fathers who make the effort to stay close to their children post-divorce deserve kudos, in my way of thinking. That has nothing to do with my criticisms of Lee's political posts.

Fair enough. I've never been divorced, but my parents divorced when I was ten and it was rough.

That's a cruel thing to say. He loves his boys.
Probably just as much as he loves his guns. I just hope his kids don't get caught in the crossfire when they're out shooting with Dad.
Serious question. Have you ever shot a gun? And I mean a real gun, not a pellet gun. You remind me of one of my cousin that was absolutely terrified of guns before she actually went to the shooting range with my family. She hated guns for most of here life until her house was broken into. She wasn't even home when it happened, but she was so terrified to sleep in her own house after the break in, she stayed at her moms house. She got a revolver and took 6 private lessons with a firearms instructor. She carries that gun everywhere, and guess what, she's a liberal🤯. A gun is just a tool, it can't grow legs and start shooting randomly at people.

Yes. Well maybe while you are hoping over there, you might also consider refraining from exploiting people's children to degrade the people you disrespect for their postings on this board. That's as bad form as it gets.

I feel ya. Even when it goes smoothly, it still sucks for the kids.

To save hundreds of thousands of lives each yeah? HELL YES we should follow other countries when they do good things!

Here's another great quote: "Only a fool ignores evidence and chooses to be contrarian just because."

Do you fish, Mike? If you're using live bait with no luck, but you see that other guys are hauling in limits using lures, do you stick with live bait and go home empty handed. Is that "Leading?"
