Tik Tok users are inundating the Tip Line with memes and porn.
My only complaints with this strategy is that it will be fairly simple to weed out the fake reports that way. It would be much more of a time waste if you used very real sounding information that they had to spend resources investigating. You definitely shouldn't do that though.
In all seriousness if you want to help in the reversal and you are able might I recommend a donation either to ACLU Texas or Planned Parenthood as they are leading the legal battle. Also worth mentioning that prominent "right to life" groups are planning on bringing this type of legislation to as many states as possible so make sure your politicians understand that you find this kind of thing abhorrent.

Thanks for the links. Sometimes you want to scream, but it's better to actually do something.

Thanks to you for making the post. It is a very important topic. I didn't mean to trivialize others attempts to disrupt either, these kinds of viral campaigns are vital for raising awareness.

I guess the Satanic Temple (church of satan? I dunno) is challenging the wingnuts in Texas ref their abortion bill. How funny would it be to see the Satanists gain a huge following in Texas over this abortion bill?

This is weird. Don’t they need full-term, birthed babies for their sacrificial rituals?
The Satanic Temple is a wonderful troll organization that exists simply to give atheists the same ridiculous religious legal privileges that Christians get.
It's definitely not to be confused with the Church of Satan which is essentially a neo-Nazi organization.
I finally got a chance to sit down and read the statue. It uses some pretty interesting tricks to try and deprive half its citizens of their constitutional rights. It also forces doctors to essentially commit what in other circumstances would be malpractice if their practice includes abortions.
It certainly puts the lie to any claim that modern Republicans are all about small government. This law is all about restricting the constitutional freedoms of citizens. A group of politicians that declares requiring a 13 year old to wear a mask at school as complete tyranny to be avoided at all costs thinks it is fine and dandy to force that same girl to give birth against her will.
The law forces doctors to give patients state mandated medical advice rather than permitting doctors to give medical advice based on their own education and experience. And this is the same group of people who don’t think the government should have a role in deciding which COVID treatments are safe and effective.
Finally, it attempts to turn its citizens into government informants. Government doesn’t get any bigger than that.
I doubt that the statutes attempt to avoid the appearance of state action will work, as the statute itself is state action. But we’ll have to see when the case reaches the Supreme Court on the merits.
Ironically, the statute will have zero effect on the people who enacted it into law. If they get their mistress pregnant, they can afford to fly them to another state to get an abortion. When their daughters get pregnant as teens, they will be able to do the same. So will those Christian leaders who back these kind of laws.
It will be interesting to see how Texans react to this authoritarian assault on their freedoms.

I hope there will be sufficiently broad outrage to result in voting out of office the miscreants who proposed and voted for this law. Can they really be so misinformed as to not realize that a very strong majority of Americans oppose this type of legislation?
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

I don’t think that the Republican-controlled state legislators care about what the majority of Americans think. Or even the majority of people in their state. If they alienate the rabidly anti-abortion Christian Right, they will lose their control over those states.

That's precisely why they need to be voted out. Why should that be so difficult when this rabidly anti-abortion stance alienates even the majority of the people in their own states?
