This false dichotomy between the economy and public health is nonsense. Consumer spending drives our economy. Consumers aren't going to out and spend money when they know the disease is freely circulating and the hospitals have no room to admit anyone who needs hospital care. And if you're a governor who let the virus rampage through the state, how are you going to trust that governor when he says "it's safe to come out now?"
We had one of the earliest stay at home orders. Our Democratic governor was easily re-elected in November.
Wonder how Amazon is doing, eh?
Virtually everything you want can be purchased online and delivered to your door step or picked up curbside.

No one has to wonder. Bezos has made out like a bandit. In hard times, businesses adapt or die. Lots are adapting. Some will die.
he/him we all just have to live through it,
holding each other’s hands.
Our lock down lasted I dunno, approx, 6 weeks. I'd have to check my notes on that. And they aren't authentic lockdowns. I've been in real lockdowns and this ain't it.
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.
Not the big ones. Is it any wonder the corporate elite are among the biggest donors to the lockdown governors.

What you refer to as the "corporate elite" are among the biggest donors to ALL governors. This is one of your recurring themes that makes zero sense. No governor gets any benefit out of a lockdown other than preserving the health care system. This delusional notion of yours that governors want to throw people in their state out of work or generate lots of business failures is utter nonsense. It's a fairy tale that you seem to want to believe in because it justifies your hate of your fellow Americans. Just more of your self-defeating embrace of resentment and hatred.

Trump's own Surgeon General said we could have had the pandemic mostly behind us if the country would just stick to a national standard of mitigation measures. But that won't happen because, idiots on the Right don't believe in science.
Really? Lockdowns did not achieve that in Europe and they didn't achieve that in the blue states that adopted such restrictions in the US. It's hard to imagine California, a state that can't/won't even enforce it's own border with Mexico being able to stop the spread of anything. Blue states may have been willing to quarantine people from red states for two weeks who crossed their borders but they'd never be willing nor able to do that to Mexicans.

That's already been posted. By me. If you ever managed to answer on point I think I'd keel over dead.
Were he governor I'm sure he'd still get your vote next election.

Stop stereotyping me. I don't do that to you, do I? I expect fair and intellectually honest exchanges with you and by god, I knock myself out trying to get them.

Are you ok getting on plane but not going to Church?
I guess the law seems to be ok with it. I think a big part of this is that most people think religious fellowship is useless but people gotta fly.
