Does anyone know for certain when the Park page was removed? Unfortunately, the Internet Archive doesn't have anything within this year before it happened.Kishkumen wrote: ↑Mon Sep 06, 2021 7:30 pmMI does keep little blurbs and pictures of former employees and scholars. Another interesting omission is DCP. But Gee is definitely there. As are some other people who are no longer affiliated with the Institute and had short-term affiliations.Alphus and Omegus wrote: ↑Mon Sep 06, 2021 7:14 pmSo judging from the 2020 Internet Archive version of the Park page, it says that he was the recipient of a "Short-term research grant" which ran from "May–June, 2018."
Is that what the page said prior to its removal? How many other people are listed on the site who had such short-term grants years ago?
Just trying to make sure that this is not a coincidence. How do we know that the page was not removed before Park spoke out against Holland?

Interestingly, Peggy Stack published a piece on the affair but it is not on the SL Trib website: https://Twitter.com/TheGrandScoobah/sta ... 0993413123
Also oddly, she does not seem to have any information on when the removal took place.

The link to his page was on the MI website as late as July 19: https://web.archive.org/web/20210719213 ... /scholars/ (click on 2018 at the bottom left of the page). When you click on the link, the page is dated September 3. That's the day that Grand Scoobah pointed out that material related to Park had been removed.Alphus and Omegus wrote: ↑Mon Sep 06, 2021 9:36 pmDoes anyone know for certain when the Park page was removed? What a short-sighted strategy, to just disappear people that speak out publicly with legitimate concerns of harm being done to a vulnerable minority.
It makes you wonder if BYU will eventually receive instructions to censor news outlets that run critical articles, such as Washington Post?

Since the musket metaphor originated with Neal Maxwell back in 2004 (as noted by Holland in his address), it's less surprising than it might otherwise be...dastardly stem wrote: ↑Mon Sep 06, 2021 1:07 amBen parks hurting people because of his desired support lgbtq? Great. MI of all groups were among the first to fire off their muskets in response? Admittedly I find that a bit surprising. Figured it'd come from other sources.

This really bothers me. I love Ben's work, especially Kingdom of Nauvoo. Did Peggy uncover the reason he was removed from the MI site?

I am guessing it is hard to get a reason from people who will deny they ever did it.
